After the debacle of last season, floating out some details to media about firing Les and just basically letting him twist in the wind, combined with allowing JJ to EMBARRASSINGLY sit out post-season play... And finally shitcanning Les in the middle of the season - What else does he need to continue to frick up to eventually get run off?

I'll admit Lesticles needed to go. But we should have fired Alleva at the same time.

I'm worried that he's going to frick up negotiations with this next coach, whomever it is. How many Nikki-Caldwell contracts, Johnny Jones hirings and Les Miles buyouts can he keep strangling our athletic department with before he's publicly rode out on a rail?

He hasn't really done anything that was his decision that embarrassed LSU athletics for me.

That guy sucks. Hated how he called each member of the Miles family by name during the press conference. Does he really think they want to hear from him?

This had to be done but that dude made the biggest mess of it possible. It is the definition of how NOT to handle situations like this

Trent Johnson, Nikki Calwell and Beth Torino were all very good hires on paper at the time they were made. JJ was basically forced on him by the basketball boosters/former players.

has he handled some things poorly, absolutely. But there's really no reason to think he can't or won't make the best hire he can make.

He ran over my dog and joked that "he's looking a little flat today"

Sit out?

Were they even going to be invited anywhere?

He's a terrible, C-level AD. I'm waiting for him to extend Manieri after some colossal failure of a season.

He should have checked with his boss before setting his plan in motion last November when he tipped off Scott Rab.

if he did and F King backed out after the fact, then F King should have been removed

Could it be that the Administration told Alleva to "alleviate or be alleviated"?

I agree. He could have handled the Les Miles situation a whole lot better last year. His track record at Duke is horrible with hiring coaches, although I know the athletics there aren't up to par with the rest of the country.
I believe that if the right hire isn't made after this season, he should be gone.

I'll admit that I haven't seen any of Alleva's speeches or interviews in the past 48 hours but I'll add to your list that he always sounds so smug and unlikeable.
