Heard it said before this game, both by announcers and fans, that this team is struggling to find it's identity. I think they have found it. This is a very tough gritty team that is playing as a unit (one heart beat), A team that has overcome a lot of obstacles such as key injuries, and lack of depth in the trenches that won't give up despite the negativety of it's fan base. Besides the players, a lot of credit has to go out to the staff, especially starting at the top, as this team seems to be a reflection of the top dog, the big chief, the Head Coach, Coach O.

The one thing I thought we would get out of an O coached team was heart, toughness, and a never give up attitude. They would play hard and fight until the end.

After the Miss St and Troy games, it was obvious the team didn't have those qualities. Red flags went up everywhere.

That has all changed back for the good since the Florida and Auburn games. I've never been a proponent of O getting the job, but I at least knew his team would be ready to play. The last two games, they have been.

Do you like the defense and is Aranda getting them into shape?

yep I wasn't a big fan of the hire at first, but then I started seeing the bigger picture and liked it more and more. Now it's starting to come together. Just took a little while for it all to come together and longer to gel. The players have gotton behind him and most the fans will also (though a big portion probably never will for what ever reasons)

I'm happy we're playing much better, but we saw this team give up against MSU and never even show up against Troy. I'm ecstatic they didn't simply roll over when down 20-0, but there is still a lot of football left to be played this season. I like the current trend, no doubt, but I'm having a hard time getting the taste of the Troy/MSU game out of my mouth. I wish I could be as optimistic as some of you though.

Both. They're playing like a real defense should, as a team and with an attitude. It's like the Chavis defense before he lost his mind late in the Alabama game of 2012.

The loss to TROY was the straw that broke the camel's back. The team meetings that convened during the week after that fiasco has engendered a real chemistry between the players, and between the players and coaches, which was lacking early in the season.

i'll bet you weren't saying that at the end of the first quarter yesterday.

they were eating our lunch and after adjustments we shut 'em down. thankfully, Gus never made counteradjustments.

As cool as it is to start the season as such, as painful as some of the catharsis is (MSU, Troy) it's awesome to watch it unfold.

LSU was giving up a lot of yardage early in the game, but only one really bad play: blown coverage by Delpit which led to a ridiculously easy TD

Look, I loved the win against Auburn, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

LSU has played 7 games, and as far as I can tell, they've only had one genuinely impressive half of a game, and that was against Auburn.

13/14 halves of football have been underwhelming, in other words.

I'll take a win over Florida and Auburn any year, but I still see real points of concern.

*ETA -- I really like the defense. Aranda is getting that unit into shape

you mean it just took some time for 0 to go back to doing what he does best.

leave the playcalling to coaches that have demonstrated experience calling plays.

motivate the team, keep em in line, recruit.

i don't like the orgeron hire, but if he's just gonna be a figurehead, then maybes he's learning his role. good luck to orgeron anyway. hope he wins a natty here.
