They had a right to melt. They had bought plane and game tickets to the Rose Bowl for the NC game, only to be upset by a second string QB who ran thru two star DL named Albert Haynesworth and John Henderson, who were both All Pro in the NFL.

I remember that game well. I remember thinking to myself that LSU was back and back for good.

Most fun I've ever had at an LSU game.

Amazing night. The climb from 2000 to the first natty is something you can't understand unless you lived through it. However, I seem to remember the video quality for these games being better when I was 11 years old. Oh my how far we've come

That was a little bit of payback for their costing us a possible NC in 1959.

I was 14 and my dad pulled me out of school to make the trip. Great tailgating memories under the overpass near the stadium.

Funny that you would say that blueridgeTiger. Since I've lived in Tennessee since 1986, I've shared that sentiment many times with UT fans.

Be careful with making these posts public.

Rnolan's account was destroyed, I can't afford to lose FirmianaSimplex.

2001 was an awesome season.

I was at the Bama game in Tuscaloosa (Josh Reed with 19 for 293), the Arky game in BR (Davey to Reed on 3rd and long to seal the win), and the SECCG.

This may come as shock to some of the kids here but 2001 was a feeling I had never had watching sports.

I would never have thought LSU could play at that level after growing up in late 80's and 90's.it was a surreal experience.

I will never in my lifetime forget the image of those two Tenner fans. Truly an iconic moment in SEC history. A modern day American Gothic.
