Looks like Byron Scott has brought his LSU hating ways to Cleveland, first not playing Bass then not playing Thornton now straight up cutting Taz.

Come on man, taz wasn't cut out for the NBA to begin with. Too slow, mehh handles, and average shot for a guard, then way to small for a 3-4-5 in the NBA.

Too think he was being talked about as going pro out of high school

He is just too small for his skill set.. should make some $$$ overseas, and maybe work his way back to the NBA

Blessing for him for sure. Go make a few hundred k for a few years and save up, come back and coach somewhere...sounds like a great life.

He could have been an elite WR/TE in football.

Sucks for him because he just didn't get as tall as was expected.

I'd put the blame on Taz's AAU coach, DSHS coach and LSU coaches for making him play big his whole life instead of teaching the kid some handle. Coaches in this area rarely know how to coach NBA sized players. Taz is a "natural" 4 because he was allowed/told to play that his whole life instead playing point in school and the 2/3 in college.

im guessing they prob thought he would grow into a post player

he lost all explosiveness after his injury anyway. He was never teh same, athletically.

Klark Kent. Taz is not way to small for the sf position. To small for 4 and 5 but not to small for 3 not athletic enough for 3 though

First......when Taz played at DSHS.....it had two pretty damn good guards.

2nd...how many 6'5 players in HS play PG?

Averaging 11.6 PPG.... he's the 6th man, I believe.

really dude? If you're an NBA coach you should never release a player from a basketball factory like LSU?
