Seems like their biggest ( or one of their biggest errors) was going after this John Talley guy. ex-players have been coming out of the woodwork defending him almost laughing at how ludicrous it is to suggest this guy did anything against the rules.

quote:

No one got anything from John for free. Getting money for doing nothing was against his core principles. I actually did a job for John one summer. He told me that if I would come down and work his FCA camp in Kingston, he would reimburse me for gas and pay me for the days I was there. I was paid much less than I expected, much less than a fair amount. I basically walked away with minimum wage on that one. And you know what, I didn’t care. I had fun, and I did a favor for a guy to whom I owed much more.

Yep. It's definitely a story that could be written about almost any sport in any big school. I hope it's not stressing coach out too much.

Not really, more of a realistic picture of college sports..

Not really so much "pro Miles"...
More giving a little perspective on the whole thing.
Go ahead and read it.

It's more like an accurate portrayal of the state of modern college football players. shite does happen, but it's not the institutionalized issues like SI wants to portray. It's more focused on the individual athlete's decisions and moral compass....kind of like the DJ Fluker/Luther Davis situation.

It actually starts out with a former OSU walk on telling the story about how he was told he made the team only to be cut by Miles 2 weeks later, then having the same thing happen the next year.

It makes me sad....at the very least Les is a public figure, but this Talley is a man in a ministry position and to soil his character without having any facts in a national publication is just wrong.
