Harris WAS NOT HELPING his OL
He would take the snap from the shotgun and drop 4 yards back instead of stepping up into a perfectly created pocket such at 0:47, the rushers would then run around and catch him

He would STARE DOWN his first option and miss an open receiver such as Dupre at 1:40

The first thing I noticed about Etling was his ability to move around and step up in the pocket. Harris seems to errantly slide around, and never really gets set.

I shat myself when he stepped up into the pocket.

That is sad.

not to mention throwing into double coverage...looks like he makes his mind to throw to a specific receiver before he even sees who is open...

It was a play action look out of the shotgun. Pretty sure that is how he is coached to drop back after the PA.

Dupre fell on that route.

The "staring down the first option" shite is so overplayed. It happens often on every level depending on the pre snap read.

Harris's issues are his accuracy on sideline routes less than 10 yards.

Exactly.. If things go well early aka Florida game he does well. When things don't go well he has trouble bouncing back. I was really pulling for him Untill he pouted then left before alma matter after a win and the Twitter comments. I'm really dissapointed in him. I'm from s'port bossier and wanted him to shine bright. He doesn't have thick enough skin and doesn't seem to be a team player. May be time for les to move on to Etling & McMillan & Scott.

This is one thing we have been missing years. Whenever Harris, Jennings and jj got sacked it was for like 1" yards because as soon as they feel pressure they back up Instead of stepping up. It also makes the tackles look bad because they can't block them around the pocket

After watching that, I am convinced Malachi needs to sit the bench for a couple of games. One cannot convince me that out of Davis, Anderson, or Sullivan; those guys won't come down with some of those balls.

Honestly, I'm not putting too much stock in that. These kids have a lot riding on playing time. QB is the one position where if you aren't the starter, it is very hard to make it to the next level.

I really think he needed a wake-up call. Hopefully he can learn from the experience and get better.

I remember thinking " Wow that looked like a real QB." Made me realize that lately it's been more like having and athlete back there playing QB instead of an actual QB.

REAL SEC play is around the corner. All you pumpers putting a whole lot of stock to a one qtr performance against an FCS opponent are in for a rude awakening.

Yeah, we gonna need someone who can run for their lives once our line gets exposed again.

Happens often on slants, hitches, and other short routes, but whatever.

Chill Debbie Downer. All I did was say it was nice to see a quarterback step up in the pocket, check down and make throws that aren't 6 foot off the mark. It's a shame that something so simple gets fans excited but it's the reality of the situation
