tailgaiting in 101 parking lot

One of my buddies has a parking pass in the 101 parking lot on the west side of the stadium. Where is the best place to tailgate when parked there and how early should you get there to get the spot. thanks guys in advance for the help

Probably in a spot that backs up to Nicholson or the walkway down the center of the lot?
You get there depending on the game. Obviously it would be different for Eastern Michigan (2-3 hours) vs Florida (8-10 hours)
