Interesting. I don't recall that quote. Please provide a source. I'd like to read it.

Former O-Line coach and former TE coach who constantly looked for mobile quarterbacks wanted Dak Prescott to be a TE in a system where the TEs are worthless other than as extra blockers.

Les Miles QB recruiting in a nutshell.

Spinoff: Would the Cowboys be 8-1 had Dak gone to LSU?

Very much doubt it. We did not run the right offense. Needed time to develop with Mullen.

In reality he probably would've just ended up out at Bogies every night and curb stomped some dude into getting himself kicked off the team and the NFL wouldn't even know who Dak Prescott was.

I know Stephen Rivers QB talent would scare any quarterback away from signing.

Tiger fans would barely know who JD Moore is, as he would have been a mere backup at fullback to Dak.
Lester has an eye for talent.

He would not have played QB.

He would have been Desean Smith.

One thing that impressed me about Dak recently is his interview after they beat Pittsburgh, and he was asked how it felt to beat a legend like Big Ben and his words were something like, "I just try to help us win games," while his look was like, "Are you joking? I'm Dak Prescott. That's what I do." Very impressive quiet seriousness and confidence. Must have made it tricky to ask him about switching positions when he so believed in his own ability to quarterback.

Lol at yall acting like Dak was some 5 star, can't miss prospect out of high school. MSU was the only SEC school that wanted him.

Dan Mullen developed him into who he is today.

Was recruited by Arkansas, State, TCU and LSU ( late), along with the La. Techs of the world.

BTW, interesting point:
Dak's recruiter to LSU was Brick Haley.
Nuff said.

He would have been put at TE and maybe wound up with 5 career catches. He would have had a very similar career to Desean Smith.

There's a guy like this every 10 years that is under the radar by every team from every major power conference. Les and Crowton couldn't do crap for QB evaluation but no team had Dak developing into a NFL QB like he is today.

Credit no neck for his career

LSU doesn't develop players let alone QBs. The success depends on how athletic and naturally talented the players are and that's how the season goes.

No reason LSU has top 5 recruiting classes consistently to end up with the same record as some team that doesn't even have a top 25 recruiting class.

So in short Dak wouldn't have been Dak if he went to LSU and quite possibly he wouldn't be where he is at today with the Cowboys.

Why is it that a lot of y'all respond to anything to do with les miles with the same response..its always "move on", or it's, "let it go".. I get it ,a lot of us were miles supporters and don't want to see other fans pile on the negative comments about him. The thing is , this is a message board and an LSU forum.the man coached LSU for a long time, you can't expect everyone to quit talking about the head coach that was fired this season . If we can't talk about that, then what the hell do y'all expect us to talk about
