I agree, I think this new story of O having the choice is what happened. I have a feeling though Joe tried to let les save the season by firing cam, but when he refused we just went ahead and fired him.

I don't know how much Cam was tied. I do know he has been fired over and over and that the ravens improved without him. I would really like to know how much real say he had in the qb we would recruit. Les had his thing for jamming kids into an O that they weren't suited for.

If that is true, and I know it has been reported that way, then you have to have some respect for the man. No reason to use Cam as a scapegoat when this is Miles's team and he has to answer for it.

SVP is the best person in sports media, IMO.

The chance of hiring a 3rd straight coach that wins a NC is not good. That's not a good enough reason to keep Miles by any stretch, but the point still stands. Svp had a point in that regard.

So you are telling me that it is unreasonable to find another coach that can win 1 SEC championship in 8+ years and making the playoffs once? Les in his last 8.33 years has a 74% winning percentage

He was gifted an NC-caliber team from 2005-2007, so looking at what Les brought, you look at the years after that. His SEC regular season record since 2008 is basically 5-3 and that includes an SEC championship year going 8-0.

I am 100% positive LSU could find a coach to average that or better. Hell, if you can get a guy that goes 5-3 and 6-2 alternating in years, they'll equal Les' career at LSU in the SEC.

Les' record is nice, but once you really look at it, it's not something so hard to match.

Think it was smart not to take questions. Svp gets his one shot in, then no more material. Imagine if he took questions and answered them poorly? It would be never ending pot shots. Don't see the upside.

I like svp disclaimer.

I certainly hope the AD doesn't think like you do.
