The greatest sin to the media is not doing what the media wants you to do. The media in this town hasn't done their job in years. So I'm not feeling any sympathy for them. Lies with Les was a tough listen for a long time. Let's talk some more about some random high school coach's health condition while the program burns.

he also protected SVPs boy Miles. If he takes questions then he lays out every single thing les did to get fired. The on the field issues, the frick you I'm doing it my way shite off the field.

its already leaking out from players and others about how shitty things had gotten over the last couple of years.

The worst thing for Les Miles chances of coaching again at a legit school would be Joe A going up there and giving a list of what got the retard fired.

we all know what it was

look at our overall record since 1/9/12
look at the offense outside of 2013 its been putrid
we can't beat bama, ole miss or arky

I think joe fricked up cuffing miles with steele. I hate miles coaching but I'm all for giving 100 percent of our resources and letting him fail. we corrected that and les spit on everyone by keeping cam.

Loyalty to shitty coaches like cam and bdp

now it looks like he turned our practices into some Hallman era shite as well.

Is Van Pelt even relevant anymore? Sounds like he's turned into a Colin Cowherd clone. Yeah, Joe Aleva should have chastised Les Miles and poured more gas on the fire to make damn sure we all were told again that Les didn't follow the orders from his boss.

I'm not sure it had to be like that, but if he wanted to go that route, sure.

if he had taken questions that is what it would have become. the media would have asked shite like why not in nov? why now? then you get into the reasons or you get we aren't discussing that and its more SVP crying. Joe did Les a huge favor by not rehashing his firing. Its over, Les is gone, we move on.

SVP, as has been said is pals with Les. So he's using his platform to bash LSU now that his buddy got fired. I don't stay up late, so I never see SVP. Did ESPN demote him? At the time I think SVP said he just wanted to do his radio show.

Part of Alleva's job is dealing with the fallout of these big decisions. He can answer a few questions.

Can't keep saying "we all know why Les got fired." Most of the country does not follow LSU football so they would like to know. I don't think Alleva explaining why is unreasonable. It's not mean or cruel or prolonging Miles' embarrassment. It's his job.

that question was completely out of line given the situation.

Agree. The reporter basically interrupted O's presser to ask an inflammatory question to Joe.

Had Joe answered, it would have been incredibly disrespectful to Coach O and derailed the entire presser.

it would have either been non answers or if we get truthful it paints a very ugly picture of les. The high road was not taking questions and making it about Ed O taking over. I hated les Miles as a coach but i don't think we have to go out in a presser and lay out the reasons he was fired and why other programs shouldn't hire him. If SVP really cares about les he should be thankful that we didn't list all of his failures. Its not a pretty list for the les lovers.

why do we need to keep rehashing the issues and need to embarrass les miles anymore than he is already embarrassed?

I don't see the point in bringing it up over and over, it only makes Les Miles look worse.

LSU needs to move along, Les is better off if we don't broadcast his dirty laundry. He can still get a job.

Ok, if he doesn't want to hurt Les' feelings, go out there and give non answers. They did this, so face the music. Doing nothing seems like what SVP said, gutless.

well that is because SVP loves him some les, he really doesn't want Joe to give him the truth.

Also why answer questions about the past when we are moving forward. It doesn't matter why we fired les and this presser wasn't about rubbing it in Miles face, but about introducing O as the new direction.

This whole thing could have gotten extremely ugly. Les is taking the high road and being classy because he probably is a nice guy, but he also knows that Joe is doing him a favor by not railing on with why we had to dismiss him. All anyone has to know is miles is no longer our coach.

Alleva doesn't owe "good tv" to scrotum head SVP or anyone else in the media.

Dan Patrick asked Les if after he was told, did he try to fight to keep his job...Les said said something to the effect that it was too late for that. This is all about Les lying to his higher ups about the offense. If Les truly would have tried to change the offense and it still wasn't working good, I feel that they would have given Les the rest of this season to try and turn it around.

yep, it was clear les didn't try to change the offense. First he kept cam, then we see how he still believed it was the players fault the o wasn't working and not that his scheme is easy to figure out.

If our O was playing better or it looked different I agree we probably let les at least get to nov.

Les continued to believe that he could just out physical people and he was wrong.

eta: its possible Joe told Les if he wants the rest of the season to fire cam, and les said no. So then it was fine we will fire you Les. Then let O decide what to do with cam.

I think O had the option of keeping Cam, and didn't. We'll never know if Cam was horrible, or whether he was never allowed to do his job without lots of interference....Can't blame Cam for staying quiet and collecting all that $$$.
