I must admit, I'm a NegaBinder myself. But I've had a cooling off period, and now I'm just accepting the fact that it is what it is.
Alabama is the elite of the SEC and will remain so for at least as long as Saban is there.
The rest of us are playing for second place. After Florida loses in the SECCG, the next best team to Alabama will be a group of five teams all with four losses each - LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M, Florida, Tennessee.
Staying around the SEC Group of 5 is the best we can hope for moving forward.
This is what I have processed, and this is what I'm dealing with, as uninspiring as it may be.

LSU needs to be #2. Once Nick is gone, Alabama wont be able to recruit nationally as easily. Surely Nick has burned some bridges by ignoring more regional talent? LSU needs to pounce and become the regional leader when Nick goes. The easiest way to do that is to be the clear #2.
Sadly, the process of this hire was absolutely number 2.

I could care less about the binder, show me the damn playbook the offensive coordinator will use.

Admit you started this thread just to say that

I was puzzled about the binder thing. I mean If I were interviewing with a person running a 100 million dollar enterprise for a job managing about one half of that and for which I would get paid multiple millions of dollars to do the job, I sure as hell would show up with something to prove that I am the person for the position. I would be as detailed as possible demonstrating my grasp of the job and how I would do it successfully.
Then it hit me. Most of the people criticizing it have no experience in senior management hiring. They don't know how big money jobs work because they would never have one. For the bulk of them all they ever had to bring in to a job interviews was their G.E.D certificate.

If O was the one that put it together that would mean he was on top of things.
That binder has Derek's name on it. So is it his ideas or is it O's. you know that phrase "Lip stick on a pig".
