Pump the breaks... If he continues to improve and stay healthy I think he will be better than Nola, but not at this point.

LSU fans sure do have short term memories. Nola was pretty damn stout only one year ago

There is this guy by the name of Ben McDonald who was pretty good.

Not yet. Very good chance to eventually be the best.

if he has two more years like this year, he may be. Nola was pretty amazing but he wasn't this impressive his freshman year..

I don't know man im not as much of a baseball fan as u all but Lange looks like an MLB all pro. I can pump brakes but there is zero denial he has all the pitches and will be a fantastic pro player.

Nola's Freshman Season

ERA: 3.61
W-L: 7-4
SO: 89

Nola's Senior Season

ERA: 1.47
W-L: 11-1
SO: 134

Lange's Freshman Season

ERA: 1.97
W-L: 12-0 including CWS win
SO: 131

I'd say he's better than Nola at this point.

i would say the best freshman.
And if he gets the command down like nola had, he will be better than nola.
and thats nothing against nola. lange has some nasty stuff.

You can make an argument Lange is the best frosh pitcher. The only comparable pitcher would be Brett Laxton. Laxton had a loss, but had possibly the best pitching performance ever in the 1993 championship game.

I'm honestly surprised it took this long for this thread to pop up. I've been looking for it for the past 2 months.

Ben was good, but I'd take NOLA over Ben any day as a COLLEGE pitcher. Ben was the goat in two CWS. From the early results, I'd take Lange over Ben as well.

Nola did it for 3 years, he is better at this point.
Coleman was incredible his last two years.

And I never saw them, but I've heard Peever and McDonald were beasts. So he has a chance to join them sometime next year.
