Thought we had a VRBO lined up, but apparently the lady had already booked it out and didn't block out the dates on the website.

Anything downtown. The Sheraton is cool, use to be an old bank.

Are there less than desirable areas around the stadium?

You want to stay anywhere in the Vista on Gervais St. Lots of great food, bars etc.

We stated at the Clarion Inn in COLA last time LSU played at Williams-Brice. Was only a short cab ride to the stadium, Five Points, etc.

If you want to be as close as possible ... obviously Downtown/Vista/Gervais is the ticket.

The Staybridge Suites is nice.

For other easy access ... there are a lot of hotels at the intersection of I-77 and Garners Ferry Road.

The Holiday Inn Airport is another option.

You could probably find some cool places to rent on or near Lake Murray.

There are also some decent hotels in Lexington, just west of Columbia.

Thanks for the suggestions. Found an airbnb walking distance to the stadium. Here's to hoping I'm not murdered in my sleep.

I cant remember where we stayed, but that trip was so much fun. HATT/Fred's had a tailgate in a lumber yard and we ALL got retarded.

Then drove up for the saints game the next day and watched them get destroyed. Oh well, that tailgate was epic, one of my most favorite ever.
