Maybe it's because 2011 is not that long ago and there needs to be some more time between these events. Admins may think he's too close in age to some of the current players and not worth the risk with past incidences like this.

Calm down man. I'm not bashing the guy. Facts are facts. There are legitimate reasons an employer would be cautious, that's all.
