Pretty awesome... All from an iPad.

ETA: After reading the article alot of stuff from last season makes sense...and Les must be one hell of a guy to work for.

with so many communication changes, no wonder our offense seemed out of sync so many times.

Interesting article. I laughed at Brandon's quote about him making run after practice via the ipad. Still amazed that this story wasn't leaked. In this day and age that's incredible.

Puts things in perspective doesn't it. We tend to get caught up in LSU should be able to do this with the ball on and on, without taking into consideration what actually transpired for the Cam and the rest of team. What I mean is the human element. We wondered why he wasn't on the sidelines during the season. I think now we know. And not having him there through camp where he could directly inter act probably slowed Brandon's development also.

Wow, just goes to show we don't know a lot of what goes on behind the scenes! No doubt this had an effect on our team, especially the offense, going into the season last year. Glad it all worked out for Cam and he is clear and ready to go this year!

Some people have no clue. And I'm not talking about Les and Cam.

Nothing new to me. I said numerous times his bout with cancer was the main reason he was up in the booth. Too bad our fan base is just ignorant and loves to tare people down.

People like to give Les a hard time, I wouldn't trade him for anybody. You had one OC get Parkinson's and one get cancer. That can't be easy to deal with, but Les kept the team moving.

Let's see how you perform at your job with cancer you a-hole. The offense was coherent or I guess you didn't just watch another one of Les players break every LSU record.

Look, cancer is serious and we all hope the best for Cam. And certainly his treatment made it tough to coach, in some respects. I'm completely sympathetic to all of that.

But you can't use any of that as an excuse. Many coaches have personal issues they're dealing with: health, divorce, sick/troubled child, ailing/death of parent, finances, etc. For example, Jimbo dealt with divorce and he's got a son with a medical problem. But none of that can be used as an excuse. It just has to be dealt with.

Yes, we absolutely have sympathy for Cam and any other coaches dealing with personal issues. But this is a high-profile, high-paid job at an elite football school. Production on the field is required - regardless of personal issues.

Which is nothing like Cam, himself, having cancer.

I don't think I've heard any member of the staff or team use it as an excuse, so no need to get your panties in a wad.

Fans can do whatever they want, whether it's find an excuse or an indictment of any situation with the team.

It's not just a personal issue outside of football. This one directly affected his job. It even states in the article that, outside of the QBs, most team members didn't know what was going on for sone time. That includes most of the offense. I can see how this had a big impact on their performance. It's hard to be precisely on the same page if you don't even know what's going on with your OC missing practices or not on the sideline during scrimmages, etc.

the poster I was responding to did seem to use it as an excuse.

And my panties are wad-less at present.

Just curious, how many OC's under Les have been on the sideline?

I agree with this, but it's up to Cam and Miles to determine if he needed to take a leave of absence and get someone else to step up as OC. Yes, that's very, very tough, and we saw what happened when Kragthorpe got sick. It wasn't good.

But I'm just not an excuse-maker. If he had chosen to take a year's absence to get treatment, I'd have been completely fine with that. Health and well-being are far more important that one football season.

But if he chose to stay on as OC last year, he's got to get the job done. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is.

And remember, I am absolutely 100% sympathetic to Cam and his situation.

We are fans, Les and the team have never used it as an excuse.

I'm saying have some sympathy. Yeah he makes good money, but none of that means much when you or a family member is battling cancer and the mental strain that would put on a person.

Instead our fans tend to tare people down with out even thinking about it.

I know Jimbo has had some rough goes at it, but our fans were clamoring at the chance to bring him in even though his team didn't perform up to par.
