After covering an LSU game, I can now see the "wisdom" in Les Miles' two-quarterback system. The Tigers' offense runs more fluidly with Jordan Jefferson because of his threat to run (he carried 16 times for 74 yards). Unfortunately, he can't pass. His 87.7 efficiency rating does not even come close to cracking the Top 100 nationally. There are only 120 teams. And while Jarrett Lee throws a decent ball, Auburn's defensive front easily teed off on him. I see no solution.

I think that pretty much sums it up. It is what it is. We need to buckle down and not hope for any big improvements at QB and just try to win ugly. And no, firing the coaches is not the answer. The players have everything at their disposal for growing in our system. We just have 2 guys that can't get it done at the next level. Happens all the time unfortunately.

Lee could benefit from Offensive Line play that gives him some time back there.

So why the hell rotate them on series instead of downs. In obvious passing situations why not bring in Lee even if its JJ's "series"?

The bigger question is

How did LSU end up in this QB predicament? And who is ultimately responsible?

Yep. I thought this after the second game.

Was the 4 net yards against McNeese State the giveaway?

Les Miles never skirts this issue. He says weekly he's responsible. Do you bat 1000 percent everyday? At 7-1 we are not batting a 1,000 percent. We've had some bad luck with getting and keeping good QB's. Just ask Florida what they think about their QB situation. No, No, don't do that, the Gator Fans are in a major depression having to watch Cam Newton every Saturday. Gosh, I would hate to be a Gator Fan right now.

I agree that Miles doesn't need to go yet, but Crowton is not working it out. He needs to go at the end of the year.

No but I dont get paid millions at my job either.

So how long does Les get a pass for the QB situation or for that matter keeping Stud and Crouton

In the Auburn game JJ was much better.

If we had a great offensive line then Lee would probably start and be awesome. We dont so we have to have someone who can get out of the pocket and can throw. JJ is our best option. The coaches have known this all year and have been covering for our weaknesses.

JJ did have a better game against Auburn. That's it though. So he is 1 and 3 against Lee splitting time! Even though I wanted J. Lee to play more than JJ this game, JJ gave us some advantages with his running. THE problem I have is we have better Running QB's on the team. And ones that the defenses would consider more of a threat too! WARE is one of them. And Shepard is the biggest threat.

I'd like to have Brantley, FLA. has a QB, but has had to overcome:

1. Loss of Mullens, Gonzalez and Tebow's system
2. Injuries and suspensions to Rainey and Demps
3. New center (Pouncey) playing out of position.

Meyer gets these things fixed, and Brantley is solid. I'm pretty sure if we change coaches and systems, Lee nor Jefferson would improve. They are not qualified for this level of football.
