"Sports on Earth" list - we have 2 players in the top 10 but nobody else in the top 130?

List of top 130

Key and Guice both made the top ten, making us the only team with 2 players ranked that high. (and I think the only SEC team with anyone in the top 10).

But nobody else on the team makes the top 130? That seems a bit strange.

A lot of under the radar players. I think Clapp is a top 100 player for sure.

That list is good and all but the truth will be told this fall and in the draft.

It's only his opinion and there are a lot of other schools and players that need mentioning...

bama has about 10 players on it, Georgia has 4 or 5. I'd rather have 10 total than 2 in the top 10.

Ok thanks for your input. Now here's the question. Did you actually think you were in the minority with this train of thought. Did you think you were the only one who would rather that?

If it is based on production so far, and I didn't read the list, what other LSU player has an argument. Perhaps T Clapp, but really...who else.

I think it's fair. LSU players did get some mention in the positional rankings that seem about right:

24 WR Chark
17 OL Clapp
12 DB Jackson
17 DB Toliver

Hard to quibble with any of those as being too low.

Yes they have all contributed for two years, maybe not Chark so much, but all have ability and certainly will get drafted.

No, I'm not the only one. Nick Saban agreed.

He's right except for not having Clapp on there. LSU's big list of nationally recognized pre season players was last year. You had guys like Fournette, White, Beckwith, Adams, Pocic, and Dupre. (honorables Godchaux, Key, Neal, Dural)

This year you have plenty of under the radar guys (LB White, DL Lawrence, WRs Davis, Anderson, and Dillon, S Delpit) with guys on the edge of that Sports on Earth cutoff (Toliver, Jackson, Chark, LaCouture, Teuhema).

LSU boasts a shite ton of potential, and many of them will be on 1st and 2nd team ALL SEC after the season.
