lots of corndog jokes, but besides that I found Auburn fans unusually nice.

Down right suspiciously nice if you ask me

I thought I was the only one.

WVU was fine, I bet some people who post that stuff didn't even go and just post that b/c of their reputation that they have heard about.

They're all pretty good. Always have had a great time. Only place that was downright awful was West Virginia. Just under our tent with my wife and kids, we Experienced Relentless FUs all day/night long. The older folks were fine and appreciative we made the trip.

Fixed BC inadvertently said VT originally. VT was and Blacksburg was absolutely awesome even though we lost.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown police say four LSU football fans, including at least two from Pittsburgh, were attacked after the game against West Virginia, with one of them suffering severe head injuries.

The Charleston Daily Mail reports that the most seriously injured LSU fan, Marcus Mason, of Pittsburgh, sustained a broken nose, a crushed eye socket and other injuries. He was taken to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for surgery. The newspaper reports that his wife, Hannah, who is 22 weeks pregnant, also was involved in the altercation.

Pittsburgh man, pregnant wife attacked after WVU-LSU game

Yeah, that actually happened. And right about the time WVU was seriously interested in joining the SEC.

About the only road game I make is Arkansas because it's so close to where I live.

Games in Little Rock bring out the trash and everyone knows it, including the Razorback fans. So glad the LSU game got moved to Fayetteville. Crowd is better there.

I've still had to deal with smart-asses in Fayetteville, but they're nowhere close to the ones you run into on War Memorial Golf Course. If you park on the golf course, you better be ready for anything.

Alabama fans took 12 of us in until 3:00 am while we waited for the 13th member of our group to finish being booked and bail set, right after the game ended.
One was a retired trooper that had the police station call us when it was clear to post bail. Feed us some good BBQ!
Didn't know a one of them before "The Incident"

A lot of LSU fans saying Florida fans suck. They are that way with everyone. You have to remember they have only played football since 1991. They have yet to learn how to win or lose with class.

UF fans for the most part are as trashy as they come.

And on this week when the University of Florida plays its annual rivalry game with Tennessee, let us not ever forget one of the most despicable cases of idiot fandom of all-time. It happened a few years ago at Florida Field where Vicky Fulmer, the wife of Tennessee Coach Phil Fulmer, sobbed uncontrollably after being heckled, harassed and doused with a cup of urine by a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal dressed in Orange and Blue.

"It was the most humiliating experience of my life," the coach's wife said through tear-stained eyes after the incident.

LSU fans complaining about somebody else is laughable at best. I don't run into a-holes everywhere I go but I have encountered some at various places but NOTHING compares to Baton Rouge. I just try to walk to the stadium and mind my own business but the heckling, tiger baiting and general rudeness is over the top in the BTR more than anywhere else and it isnt even close. Me and my family bother no one and when f you, f Alabama, STTDB is being said over and over in front of my wife and 5 year old I dont believe its called for. Never ever been asked to have some food or a drink either. Most opposing fans share my view on TS stadium being the worst also. There is a video some gals made from the school newspaper a few years ago and they went as Bama fans. Check that out for some reality. Went to the LSU -UGA game back in 04 and the UGA fans were absolutely awful to LSU fans. One LSU guy asked why they were being such a-holes and he said we're giving what you gave us. I think a lot of these childish idiots at ALL venues need to chill out. Do you have to act like an arse to have fun? I dont.

Abosolutely, but the difference between a "coonass" and the rest of the ethnic groups, is coonasses are proud to be one...

Auburn fans really were "suspiciously nice." Got free shots from literally the first tailgate my friends and I walked by. We were welcomed and thanked multiple times throughout the day. And Sky Bar was the shite. My experience there completely neutralized my hatred for Auburn that originated from the Tubberville era.

Florida and UGA fans were dicks, but nothing over the top. Tailgating at Florida sucks.

Been to every SEC venue multiple times. Like everyone says, there are good and bad fans everywhere.
During the Spurrier era Florida was the worst experience...they usually beat our arse on the field which made it even worse.
I think it's funny that everyone says Auburn fans are the nicest...that's the only place I've ever had my car vandalized. Someone keyed my car, ripped an LSU license plate off, and smashed a mirror. I have to say the Auburn PD and fans parked around us were very apologetic and were helpful afterwards.

The overall worst experience ever has been at UGA. A couple of times there I felt like we were going to get jumped and have to fight our way off campus.

However, the worst just in terms of being unfriendly, rude, and just not fun to hang out with is in Alabama. They think the corndog stuff is hilarious and I think 80% of the tailgates or groups we walked past yelled some type of corndog, coonass, bayou trash reference. It is by far the best place at which to win though.

Of the places I've gone:

Favorite: Georgia. Tailgating and partying was top of the line. Fun stadium and fun atmosphere.

Next: Auburn. I've had a great time there. Let us party with them and had good discussion on football and life.

Close 3rd: Tennessee. While the stadium was miserable, the fans were nice and the tailgating on the river was really cool. Had a great time.

4 - South Carolina. Didn't have much time to tailgate but everyone was nice and helpful. Stadium atmosphere was cool also.

5 - Ole Miss. Just boring.

6 - Alabama. I actually had fun pre-game tailgating with Bama fans, but after the game they were so unbelievably horrible that I can't say a nice thing about them. Felt harrassed. People followed me yelling at me as I walked away in silence.

7. Florida. Florida fans are not only rude, but the tailgating scene is shite.

I would not mind at all if Tuscaloosa collapsed into the center of the earth.

Let's all laugh at this idiot...an Alabama fan posting on an LSU board, in a thread aimed at LSU fans. The rent for being in his head is past due.

That's one thing. It's even more laughable that this cretin is apparently the last Alabama fan that didn't get the memo...

ALABAMA FANS CAN'T LAUGH AT OTHER FANS ANYMORE...OTHER FANS ARE LAUGHING AT THEM

Most Alabama fans by now have the good sense to button up, avoid, or duck out of threads about fan bases...for good reason.

That said...and in order to get this thread back on track...when it comes to away games, my experiences in Tuscaloosa have been hit or miss. Tide fans are nice to other fans unless they feel threatened by their team. Then the kid gloves come off.

There's been less craziness toward LSU fans after a game there if the Tide wins. A little less.
