At least someone got it right! Perhaps the idea about rescheduling the FL vs GA game to accommodate a possible LSU vs FL game that week will be considered now. This may be why we haven't heard anything yet.

**This idea needs to gain steam NOW**

So Forfeit gets an off week before playing us and we lose our off week before Bama?

No, they'd be playing Georgia a week before us in that scenario.

Yes, we'd lose our off week, but that's better than the alternative. Besides, that off week hasn't helped us at all.

WE NEED THIS GAME.

They might not be able to play in Jacksonville at all after this storm. They may need to relocate anyway. Play that game in Athens, then LSU-UF in Gainesville.

I seriously think Georgia would go for that. This year they're the designated home team anyway. It'd be difficult for them to turn down a true home game. That's incredible potential revenue for Athens.

You know Florida would refuse that too because then UGA would have a true home field advantage.

They'd have less say considering they're the "away team" that week. Plus (I would think) the SEC would have to put their foot down or face ridicule with Florida from the rest of the conference.

Not just the tip, but florida put the whole shaft up LSUs arse. And they took it like a little bitch.

I want a legitimate response from the SEC why this can't be done. Don't give me the "fans will have to change their plans" argument. That happens ALL THE TIME for games less meaningful than this one.

They aren't moving the cocktail party at this point.

Why? We've already beat Florida 2-0 because of their forfeit.

It's as plausible a remedy as any at this point. In this scenario nobody has to remove a game from their schedule, and Georgia may even benefit by gaining a true home field advantage and gained revenue in Athens.

I don't think it would be a big deal losing our bye week before Alabama. Hopefully this team is on a roll and it would help them stay hot to not have a week off. Plus our bye week before Alabama hasn't helped the last 4 times so let's try something new.

That game has no chance in hell of being moved. Period.

Exactly! Besides, I'd rather lose a bye week than lose the opportunity to beat Florida and remain in control of our own destiny.

why not at least bang the drum about it...both sides lose something and the game is still at UF so they can't bitch about that...

I'll believe that when I hear or see it from a reputable source.
