Saying that CJJ should consider bringing in Brady as an assistant coach. Wut??

Could this happen? Would this work? Would this be a good thing for LSU basketball?

Radio personalities here knight for people they can get on the show. Ott, Hanny, and Ponamsky basically lobbied for months to bring in Orgeron. They are basically just paying back John Brady for coming on the show.

That's a little bit different than lobbying for Brady.

I believe Culotta was on the bench with Brady. It goes a little deeper than just being on the show. No way Brady takes an assistant job anywhere though....I wouldn't think.

My question is why they keep bringing Collis Temple on their show. That's when I change stations.

Brady burned too many bridges with major boosters and the average fan with his temper & shitty attitude towards the PR aspect of being a HC. Of course, the positive mite be that his return would drive Daddy Dale away again.

egos are too big. I doubt that would ever happen. Brady is just what Jones needs though. If Jones teams played D like Brady's we would be a lot better.

I would support that move. But it's not gonna happen.

Brady is considered a defensive coach first. Our defense under Johnny has been atrocious. Let's say we hire Brady, our defense can't get any worse. It would actually probably be a good hire.

However Brady has an ego and probably thinks he is better than Johnny (which is true). I don't see a guy like Brady being able to work underneath somebody he deems inferior.

It's a fun hypothetical to think and talk about but it's not happening. My hypothetical question for the scenario is, if Brady comes back as an assistant at LSU will we see the return of LSUBeatles?

People on this board give john brady way too much credit. He had 2 very good seasons at LSU, but the rest of his career has been mediocre to terrible. The guy has four 20 win seasons in 25 years of coaching.

Nolan Cain would be #1 on Prince's list to replace Mainieri

Is Mawae and Webster still on during football offseason? That's when I stopped listening, those guys provided 0 during any sport other than football.

If Jones teams played D like Brady's I could stand to watch them.

its AAU ball.

IMHO Jones is afraid of his players. kissing up to them.
if I had been Simmons head coach, he would know how to shoot a variety of go to shots. Simmons is the same player as the day he showed up. Did not learn a thing.

John Brady would end his own life at halftime watching a CJJ coached team.

The building was burning when Brady left it, and all this coach has done is poured gasoline on the fire.
Why would Brady come back now?

And who would want to be an assistant to Jones, anyway?
