Someone convince me that a record of less than 7-5 gets Orgeron fired

Is there any way he isn't retained next season short of a for-cause firing?

I think the only way he gets fired is if we don’t make a bowl game

AD will be fired and we’ll play OC carrousel for a year.

Unfortunately

He coaches 2018 regardless.

Since The LSU BOS and King didn't fire Alleva this week, I'm not convinced they won't do jack shite unless O goes 3-9 and that is possible.

I think it would have to be 3-9 and the rest of the losses to be blow outs for him to get canned this year. Sadly this is possible too.

If Saban still has a sliver of care and respect for LSU

there's no way LSU gets 25+ million in the hole paying off les, firing o and the staff, then hiring an entirely new staff. we're stuck with the shrimp boat captain for another season

Sadly you are right. But The money is there. The buyouts are amortized over the duration of both contracts. And with the O nationally televised shite show series occurring weekly, this will only increase the chances of Leslie getting another P5 head coaching gig. As for as the current staff, those buyouts usually don't come into play because most will land another job quickly.. So what if the swimming and diving team doesn't get new speedos.

Not happening. Buyouts across the board are far too much. On top of still paying Miles and Jones.

I agree that 3-9 would have to happen, which is entirely possible. if LSU goes 5-7 and shoes improvement, whether we like it or not, he's coming back. this weekend is going to set the tone the rest of the way. if LSU beats florida we're going to a bowl, which means Yaw is safe

let's see if our clown AD sitting down with our clown football staff and our apathetic players getting together somehow saves the program

I think Alleva gets fired but O stays through next year unless he goes winless the rest of the year.

Depends if les gets another job or not.

Les goes to Nebraska + 3-9/4-8 MIGHT get him fired.

We could fire O and be in the exact same financial situation we're in now...if we don't have to pay les anymore.

No difference in paying les 3.5m a year or O. Contracts and buyouts are very similar

No way he gets fired at 6-6. Once he averages 10 wins a season, then LSU will fire him.

Actually, we'll let him get to 10 wins/season.. and when he is washed up and starting to really suck we'll fire him and replace him with someone else carrying a binder

Correct answer.

Unfortunately I think he finishes 8-4 plus a bowl game. Bama game is
Close loss (24-14 ish) and he gets two more years of 7-5 / 8-4

Saban could reach triple digits if he so desired vs LSU, but he won't. He'll empty the bench and play waterboys and cheerleaders in an effort to keep the score within bounds. And...he won't take a knee at the Tiger 5 with 4 minutes to go.
