Some thoughts on the game

First and foremost, Buga is the truth. The kid looked like a man amongst boys. Most likely will be in New York
Secondly, we played the best quarterback we will see all year and held him to 19 points.
Thirdly, Harris is the real deal. Why we stopped throwing the ball is beyond me. The kid has a high football IQ and makes plays. If Lester opens up the playbook we have the most offensive weapons in the league by FAR.
Fourthly, if we played Mcnesse, we don't have half the holding penalties and probably win this game by 3 touchdowns. We have to work out the kinks.
Lastly, if we win this week we're 7-0 going to Tuscaloosa. It's going to be a fun year.

It was the first game. Let's at least give it to the next game to see what kind of improvements are made.

One of the main thoughts I had coming out of this game (beyond some of the same stuff everyone else has mentioned) was how "ready" Teuhema looked. Not just physically, but also intellectually. He simply knew his assignments, including staying cognizant of his responsibilities when MSU was stunting. He looked much better than Boutte' or Clapp - and remember he wasn't an early enrollee.
