I don't know how many good plays and TDs were called back because holding or clipping or whatever. Defensive penalties like taunting and offsides and hands to the face, etc.

We tried everything in our power to let State win at their house.

- we shut down the offense early in the 2nd and NEVER opened it back up
- we had 2-3 long TDs called back
- we had a myriad of offensive and defensive penalities that removed good plays and kept us from continuing drives or stopping them
- we utilized maybe one of our talented true freshman on offense all night (Guice doesn't count when you throw him a screen on 3rd and long with 10 in the box that everybody knows is coming)
- we punted poorly almost all night

Fournette
That guy is the f**king man! Don't care what anybody says. He was our offense the entire second half. Once they utilize the passing game, it's over.

Williams
Was the perfect backup last night. Came in with fresh legs and picked up some great first downs (and at least one long run called back).

Harris
he managed the game perfectly. Did exactly what he was asked to do and didn't look like the stage was too big for him. picked up first downs with his feet, didn't try a bunch of risky crap that young QBs tend to do, and I loved seeing that. Was he hampered by the play calling? Yeah obviously. But, from what little I saw of him, I think we have a special player at the helm. One that will grow during the season, and into a strength.

Dupre
That was a got damn catch man, F the refs. Y'all know the one I'm talking bout. He was gold when we utilized the passing game in the 1st.

Kevin Toliver
was a f**king BOSS last night! Kid played like he'd been here for years. I missed that one drive late in the forth where Miss St flew down the field for a TD, but from the rest of the game, he was like a blanket.

Arden Key
Don't tell me about his couple of offsides, that kid looked like he could be the next great out there. He's great in pass rush and run defense. I am so pumped for him.

You look at this team, well at least I do, and you can see the potential is right there. From the pass rush, to the QB play, to Jackson on KR (who only got one chance), to the run game. The difference was night and day when we got pressure on Dak, to when we didn't. That's something that will develop and get better all year.

Like I said, hopefully the penalties were first game mistakes, and I can only guess that they didn't want Harris to make a mistake on the road in his first game this year. I think it sucked, but whatever, let's move on.

Auburn at home next week baby, let's turn loose!

I think most on here agree with all your observations......but coaching has a way of neutralizing that great talent and potential.
