Saturday was first time to see basketball game this year, as I live out of state. Observations:

-Smallest attendence of any game I've seen since before the Maravich era. Fan Day with $5 tickets and celebration of 2010 football team at halftime didn't even do anything. I think that says a ton about direction of this program.

- Talent level also reminds me of those '60's teams.

- No hustle, particularly on defense. Vanderbilt got so many uncontested shots, it was embarassing. This team seems to play like they expect to lose.

All in all, I hope Joe Alleva can make a good hire next time. He wiffed when he hired Johnson.

What was the actual attendance at the game? The promo ad caught my attention, but the only friends I know with season tickets didn't attend.

7000+ paid, but more like 3 to 4000 there. The PMAC is always thin when we're losing, but basketball at LSU has always gone up and down. When we get a good team, the PMAC is packed. It'll happen again.

When Stromile was a freshmen, we were terrible, and the very next year we beat #1 Arizona and I think we went to the Sweet 16. Relax, let this season go, and enjoy baseball.

As bad as we are this year, we beat them in the first half, and in the game with 10 or so minutes left. Vandy is good, we are young, but Storm looks healthy, and our younger guys are getting experience. I can't complain any more than I already have this year. I'll wait and see what happens next year.

We were bad but not this bad, and from what I have seen we do not have a stromile swift on this team.

Yet they still beat the shite out of us in the final score. You know, the one that gets recorded. Maybe they'll put an asterisk next to the loss that says something like "were ahead at halftime."

LSU needs to sign Montgomery or someone that good.

You'd think if you were going criticize, you could at least get the name of the school right (STANFORD, 1 D not 2). OR where Mike Montgomery went after he left STANFORD, which was to the Golden State Warriors.

And he kicked arse at Golden State while he was there, too.

I think driving two states away to attend a basketball game qualifies me as a fan. I guess you know many who do that every game? I didn't think so.
