To bad we didn't think we needed her. She is a difference maker in the middle of the order.
You do realize we recruited her? The rumor of us not trying or even bothering is not true at all. It was between us, ULL, and Bama. Sometimes kids want to leave for different direction in life. Why so much negativity?

We recruited her, but softly. She wasn't taken seriously and a good offer was never extended. Her ability to hit on the SEC level was questioned enough that she was not a priority. I spoke to her dad at length about the Alabama decision and the family was very unhappy with the way LSU approached her and recruited her.
Negativity is not the right word, I just get tired of watching good Louisiana players get overlooked or dismissed by LSU. The old "the grass is greener on the other side" mentality. Aside from Landry, we have never given many an opportunity to perform.
I know, I know, these are discussions for the offseason and not when we are about to go back to back to back to Oklahoma City!!!!

I hope we come out and smoke FSU tomorrow.
I think they are a very good team but I don't see the hype that people want to label them with. Their schedule is extremely underwhelming. They played SEC teams extremely tightly.

I have no doubt we will be in OKC. We are simply to good on the mound. Any offensive production and play average defense and we win.

Crazy game and after ties in extra innings UCLA finally came back to win in 10th or whatever.

i think you are right. That coming from the losers bracket to beat the ragin' cajuns two straight after losing the first was impressive. They did not just win they whipped them. the old adage paid off in the long run great pitching trumps great hitting more times than not. PLUS, the bats came alive for LSU. No reason LSU cannot take 2 of 3 from FSU.
I have watched FSU for years back to when lacey waldrop played for them. They are stout with Jessica and meghan in the circle but LSU's staff is better and deeper.
No reason LSU should not win a title with carley and alie. I said this when they were freshies. 3rd time a charm?

yeah her father and I talked at a ragin' cajun game. I wondered if she just wanted to leave or how seriously was she recruited by lotief and torina. I did not ask him. we discussed travel ball and high school ball at the time.

Softball recruiting is extremely limited but FloSoftball has the best coverage

Alabama took control of the recruiting early. Literally rolled out the red carpet, new everything about her and extended a terrific offer and recognized that her tools and upside were off the charts.
She wanted to play in the SEC for sure so that ruled out UL and LSU never considered her a top player on their list. The choice for her was easy. Bama all the way and she will have a great career there.
Two of the best 5 position players in the class of 2016 were from Louisiana and one left the state and the other is firmly planted on the bench.
