Yes, this is my warmup for next week. Only doing one post per half inning because softball threads are much shorter.
Bottom 2, Landry, Griggs, Jaquish due up
Sturgeon in at LF for OSU
Landry grounds out 6-3, 1 out
Griggs chops one up the middle for a single! Griggs on 1st, 1 out
Jaquish singles to left! Jaquish on 1st, Griggs on 2nd, 1 out
Bell hits it past a diving SS for a single, Griggs scores!!! Bell on 1st, Jaquish on 2nd, 1 out, Tigers lead 6-0
Kloss grounds into a 4-6 to get Bell at 2nd, Kloss reaches on FC, Kloss on 1st, Jaquish on 3rd, 2 outs

We're in run rule territory now. It's 8 runs or more after 5 innings, so OSU needs to outscore us by 2 or more over the next 2 innings to avoid the run rule.

Good first win, OSU is no slouch. Hoover will get better, not worried at all.
I was most impressed with Jaquish drilling the ball all over, and the two freshmen, Serrett and Sanchez. For their first game, they looked comfortable.

Yeah, we saw what Hoover can do early on. She lost some focus late, but she'll improve as the season goes on. Always nice to start off with a run rule win. I'm assuming Walljasper will get the ball against UNF, looking forward to seeing what she can do.

I thought Walljasper was also coming back from a minor injury, we should see her or we might see Sydney Smith possibly. Doesn't matter, all the other pitchers are good as well

I didn't know Walljasper was coming off an injury. She was warming up at the end of the last game, so I'd expect to see her for at least part of the game. We should be fine if Smith needs to come in, though.
