This will be the game thread. But I guess softball can only have one thread at a time...

Don't believe 357 will object as his contributions and postings are always appreciated while 25 does a great job of updating inning by inning, especially helpful for many weekday workers who want detailed updates.

It's all about supporting the girls as baseball threads often cover the entire page at times which shows tiger support for those thrilling games. Bet the BB team will be shouting for the ladies today! It's a great day for Softball as baseball has a well deserved break.

Hopefully not, i also hope the moment is too big of a stage for them and they start making uncharacteristic errors. I mean we should not be nervous per say we've been here before.

Is LSU represented at least for a few cheers we can hear on ESPNU? OK beating ULL 8-2 top of 6th. Coverage might start on ESPN News?

That's really funny although there may be a few more of their fans.

Last nights game really spoiled it for me on the last few outs!

I'm jazzed!!!

Softball newbie here. From what I have learned so far is that softball pitchers don't need the rest that baseball pitchers need between starts so my question is: Does working the count and getting the opposing pitchers pitch count up matter in softball? or can they throw 150+ pitches and it won't matter?

Throwing a softball is a natural motion. Softball pitchers do not have to deal with the same amount of soreness compared to a baseball pitcher. Softball pitchers could throw multiple games in one day if needed.

ETA: Pitch count isn't extremely important.

thanks for the education.

I was sitting here thinking that they made her throw 17 pitches, that's not terrible but then thought more about and figured that I was wrong
