The talent is obviously there but the motivation seems lacking. That's on the coach.

To both statements it definitely seems something's up. The chemistry was there and then it just vanished. Maybe this team peaked mid season. Maybe the undefeated streak to open the season spoiled them. Maybe it was the fielding problems that started to mount up which caused a shakeup with Quinn being removed. Whatever is/was, it hasn't been rectified.

Of all the sec teams that made the tourney, LSU was arguably playing the poorest. Despite that, the selection committee gave them the benefit of their whole body of work giving them a national seed and assuring them that these Arizona teams would now have to travel to Baton Rouge. But, it appears we're not ready to take that step. They're not out of it, but it don't look positive.

maybe it's because asu doesn't waste their time with slap bunts and sent 9 players up there to rip the ball.

So does our baseball team but we as fans still view it as a disappointment when we don't win it. But you keep claiming your moral victories. Decorate your wall with them.

Do they hand out these 'torches' as participation trophies now? If so, we have some too

not sure if serious. You have NEVER won a championship. Not sure what torch you are talking about. There was a time that ULL had a better softball program than LSU. That is not the case anymore....but both teams are pretty good. You kind of remind me of an Ole Miss fan. Bragging about NOTHING.

Well, considering that you guys have the same number of WCWS appearances as LSU does since LSU brought back softball, I'd say no one is holding that torch. LSU has also made it to the NCAA postseason about the same number of times as ULL has with a much shorter team history, granted that will have a lot to do with conference strength.

Ump was squeezing Carly all game long. She never got comfortable in the circle. Even though she struggled, you can't blame her for our offensive ineptitude. Hopefully Allie can come out strong tonight and Carly will be on her game tomorrow.

I agree. Our hitters wouldn't even let the ump squeeze the ASU pitcher because they swung at everything
