Yeah, need to build some confidence for tomorrow but slappers have been very effective with many winning teams. Just not that effective if needing a run from second base.

I will take a win any way we can have them. Just really concerned with the offense. Can't afford to play like this tomorrow.
Unless all the problems with this team suddenly disappear tomorrow, Southwest Louisiana Junior College is going to run away with it.

Some coaching changes needed in this program. We're deficient in some areas that shouldn't be.........

So who you want to get rid of: Torina, Dopson Or Leftwich? That's a bit rash. Maybe it's more a case of coaching adjustments that need to be tackled in the off-season or young players that are still maturing. This is a great staff and would not be out of work a day.

I know everyone wants to jump off the deep end and start firing people. I understand the frustration with the offense, its completely valid and understandable. As far as Dobson, I like him a lot and no doubt he has done much for LSU's offense here. Dobson is highly regarded nationally and is involved with the national teams for a reason. Like all coaches I have my criticisms as well. My critique of Dobson is not that his approach is bad, its our lack of basic mechanics in a lot of our players bats. Simmons, Kloss, Bell all had pretty solid foundations coming to LSU not perfect but really solid. I think we have many young players who are having a rough time due to their lack of preparation coming out hs and travel ball. Dobson has never been the type to overhaul a swing but I think we really need this for many players and sometimes you NEED to do it. You would see much more success with adjustments to the swings of Serrett, Springfield, and even Emily.

I think the reason you see a major deficiency this year is due to a lot of youth and lack of good mechanics, which with a good off season can definitely be fixed.

I am sure after the season is over Beth will sit down with the staff and formulate a plan to fix these issues. Beth isn't a moron, she understands it needs to be addressed, you can see the frustration on her face all season. I am sure Torina will sit with Dobson and have this talk, if he isn't capable of adjusting our players swings, I have zero doubt Beth will bring in someone who will.

This team isn't a lost cause, they can still win tomorrow. We are more than capable, it just depend on which offense shows up

For the record this is Doyle's first season in a while healthy. She has had major knee surgeries during her hs career. She will be fine. We have seen glimpses of how dominant she can be. I remember the UCLA earlier this year, she hammered two bombs against an elite staff. Doyle will be an entirely new player come next season

that is not rash it is on crazy pills levels.

everyone was praising the hitting in the sec tourney.

we will see tomorrow. I have always said the cajuns have advantage hitting and LSU has it with pitching. should be a great game. great pitching can trump great hitting. or they could get drilled. we shall see.

Springfield and Doyle had two of LSU's three hits, pretty encouraging to see these two step up. We need the entire lineup to step up tomorrow, especially Landry and Jaquish.

Hard to find more bats when all you recruit is a bunch of slap hitters.

There are only three slap hitters in the lineup and two of them (Landry and Andrews) bat much higher than .300, the other one swings away now. The slappers aren't the problem, its essentially everyone else.

That's right, really only 2 slappers now that Griggs transitioned. She has been much better as a swinger. Anyone that believes the slappers are the problem on this team do not watch the games.

The only real surprise or strange thing to me is that 60 games into the year Sanchez is STILL playing. The staff not only believes she is one of our best 9 but she has actually moved up in the line up despite being one of the worst offensive producers in the entire SEC.

I'm not one of the "fire the staff" or even "fire an individual" guys, but this can only be described as a favorites thing because the production, offensively or defensively, cannot be justified. We will finish the 2017 season without ever putting our best lineup on the field.

Our games in Shreveport were canceled due to the threat of rain and severe weather. Would love to drive down for the LSU regional but it looks like the forecast there is just as bad. What's the feeling down there, games going to start on time?

Right now it doesn't look bad...but the forecast is very ominous. I think the noon game gets started on time....but I am not sure how far it will get. The rain chance ratchets upward after noon.

The sun is shining here at the moment. Looks like we are good to go for noon. Looking at the radar, it is just a bunch of scattered crap all over the place. Hopefully we can dodge it because the forecast for tomorrow and Monday looks REALLY bad.

Which makes this noon game loom even larger for the winner. If the game is played and finished early today, the winner gets to sit and rest while the loser has to fight delay after delay.
