...admits he didn't care enough to be ready to play in case #1 went down.

quote:

“In the Arkansas game, I hadn’t learned a lot of plays and had to rely on my instincts a lot,” Jefferson said. “In those three weeks preparing for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, I really focused on learning the plays and figured out there are a lot of ways I can help my team without forcing things. I grew up a lot in those few weeks, and ever since then I’ve gotten more involved because I know I have to be a leader.”

Joe freaking Montana wouldn't have helped last year. The D sucked big donkey and lost most of the games.

Coaches don't spend a whole lot of time seeing if the 3rd string true Fr. QB knows a ton of plays.

He was a true freshman, cut him some slack. Sounds like he is serious now.

I am telling you folks, you are in for a rude awakening with JJ. He will be a whole lot closer to Marcus Randle than Jamarcus or Flynn as far as being a successful LSU QB.

I think that quote speaks volumes.

again, tell me where he says he didn't care enough?

he was the #3 QB most of the season, he isn't going to be getting a lot of reps to know the plays. Spring Football is where that happens the most

Did you just say JJ = Marcus Randall??

Dumbest shite I've ever seen on this board.

LSU fans like you would rather be right than have the team do well it seems like...

Don't agree with that. I'm busting on JJ here a bit, but he's the real deal. Can be a hell of a QB here.

And I'll keep saying it - JL will be a BIG part of critical points in our season this year.

I'd like to see anybody learn Crowton's playbook in a few weeks. Jefferson was not an early enrollee last year.
