Will he get picked up? Ever?

I was one who thought he was a good bet to be a starter somewhere after 3 years. Guess he's done.

I don't think he takes his career that seriously at all.

His few starts in Tennessee pretty much showed everything you need to know about ZM8's pro career.

He'll always be my first (and best quarterback) we had while I was a student at LSU. My kids will grow up hearing stories of me getting to watch him absolutely sling the rock to Jarvis and Odell. That doesn't pay the bills but he'll always be one of my favorite players. That man gave his all for LSU.

Surprised he lasted this long...everyone keeps saying he'd do well behind a really good oline..wouldn't any qb in the league do the same?

He's tough and has a cannon for an arm, but that only takes you so far in life. He lacks the athleticism to be a modern day NFL quarterback and as other posters have alluded to, I think he's ok letting his football days go by.

He was good, but not top 5 at LSU imo. He was just a change of pace from the previous distractions and played with an all star cast.

He couldn't even beat Landry Jones for the backup job. He done.

Agree with that. Seemed to get by on raw talent but didn't want to push too hard for more. He played hard at LSU and I'll always be grateful for that.

I agree. Very thankful that he landed here. We would have had nothing. He did give his all here.

He's a less mobile Mike Glennon at best in the NFL.

Hell no. He's still looking for the right system.

Might be able to force some team into signing him like Kaepernick is trying to do.

It's clear that Juice and OBJ were doing more to make Mett look good than the other way around. Without those guys, I doubt he would have gotten a look at the next level.

Being totally honest and I was a fan of Zach while he was here and when he went pro.

(Not Mett, but still)

ETA: On 2 of these catches, the receiver never gets (or needs) a second hand on the ball. Still incredible.

You don't think the NFL knew he had great receivers making great catches at LSU?

To me, the Landry catch where he erases an interception and dives over the Arkansas guy is the greatest catch in the history of football at any level...
