So in 27 innings this weekend, LSU scored in only 2 of them

guys guys, now isnt the time to panic. It's only 1 series. there are 6 more SEC series left to turn it all around. No need for kneejerk reactions

IMO, LSU might win 3 out of the next 6. Is that enough? Last year Florida had freshman pitching and fielding, but was in the CWS championship series. My guess no CWS for LSU this year!So is the problem the freshman or coaching?

When you only have Mahtook as a real threat in the lineup, you are not going to score many runs. I agree, we are pitiful.

Where is this great recruiting class? I know the two freshman pitchers have done their share, but our lineup is filled with a bunch of backup roll players.

Disappointing...

Getting swept by UF was disappointing. Losing the following weekend's series to UGA was disappointing.

Only scoring in 2 of the 27 innings and getting swept yet again to fall to 3-9 in SEC play just makes me wanna throw up.

Then what was the Florida series, the UGA series? Why are we 3-9 in the SEC at this point? That's not one weekend, that's three wins in four weekends.

small ball is suppossed to get scores in lots of innings; not big scores but 1 here and 1 or two there. maybe, we need to abandon the 100% small ball approach and let our hitters hit away. yes, in the late innings if one run is needed, bunt 'em over. one of the main critisisms of small ball (on the professional level by billy bean, GM of the Oakland A's and author of Moneyball) is that you GIVE UP OUTS when you sacrifice a runner to move up one base. maybe if we quit that shite, we'll score MORE runs because our best hitters will be swinging instead of bunting all the damn time. it's possible that we are OVER-REACTING to the new bats. what do we have to lose? small ball ain't hacking it for LSU.

Our (starting) pitching isn't a question, honestly.

Our questions revolve around how our head coach & staff is doing in terms of coaching & developing a feel for a pitching staff.

Even if we swept 3 and won the other 3 we would barely we would barely finish in the top half. What in the hell is going on when we have to consistently look up at Vanderbilt?!?!
