I get a call today from my son saying that while he was home visiting between semesters, he missed a deadline to request season football tickets. He never got an email and apparently others did not either. I've already emailed TAF, Alumni Association and Ticketing Office and am awaiting response. He's doing what he can on campus.
Anyone have any insider info on who may be able to assist?

Sounds like he's probably gonna be SOL. Gotta check that spam folder. They come out around the same time every year so I'm always checking my email during the summer to watch out for those. Helps to be proactive about it.

Every year I hear people complain about not getting the email. You know when they come every year. Got to be prepared. If you didn't get an email, got to call before it's too late.
If they sold all the tickets, there's nothing they can do for him.

Exactly. Ask around ahead of time to see if anyone else got the email. It's likely sitting in a spam folder.
In my 7 years at LSU, I never once had an issue with student tickets. If you want them bad enough, you will have them. You have to "work" a little for them though.

I'm sorry, but this is a battle your son should be fighting.

Does he have the grades? If he isn't eligible they wouldn't send it.
Also check spam folder.
Only other thing is they could have sold out before it was his time to purchase. This happened my freshman year.

Trust me, I understand the sentiments and have already stated as much to him. Having said that, I'm just doing what little I can to assist from a distance.

Not a grade issue. Could certainly have been an issue with the spam folder or forwarding problem.

Well I hope it works out.
If not, he'll likely be able to get most games for free then have to pay extra for the big games. May come out around even

Exactly. Still has other options.

It happened to me one time. I emailed the ticket office, and they had a one day window 1 week before the season started. You could log on and order tickets then. I'm not sure if they will still do this though.

If he's a Freshman I recall them not being able to order until later.

Replace the emailing with signing checks. They tend to listen and react better to that approach.

I've done this once...
Don't stress about it. They open a window for about 12 hours to where you can go online and get them. I think it's around August 10th.
Tell him to get them on the phone and ask them about that. More people than you think forget about the tickets.
edit: What Bulklogan said

It embarrasses me that you're working on it for him....
With that said, there isn't a game he can't get a ticket to if he wants it as a student.

Tell him to email ticketappeal@lsu.edu and they'll handle him.
