So 19 or 20 wins with a Simmons guaranteed ratings draw won't cut it when the committee knows they were short handed at the start of the season??? Considering Daddy Dale made the tournament with a Jose Vargas led team at 16-13 with a 10-8 SEC record, I'd say you don't know what your talking about.

A lot of things have changed since then... We really need a win over OU....

Oddly enough that team had a win over #3 and eventual national runner up Oklahoma.

The early season loses will not hurt us. The committee will pretty much ignore them because we were missing two starters. It happens every year. If you think a team who goes 13-5 in the sec doesn't get in you have never followed college basketball before.

We have @ south Carolina, vs that great Texas a&m team you said its OK we lose to, and @ ky....not to mention @ arky, and @ Tenn, and oh yeah, a Florida team that already beat us....plus losable games with ga and aub....not to mention ou. Why cant we just play the games? You people stressing out over a 1 and done trny experience is comical

Really, it's an espn produced stat, not sure it is even considered by the committee.

The question is how much weight the committee gives Victor and Hornsby absence.

They will give that a lot of weight. Those loses will almost be meaningless. If we go 12-6 or 13-5 with our full lineup it will get us in.

You seriously need to get laid. I know it's difficult to do with your wife not giving it up because she'll only give it up to a manly man (neighbor), but you have to try. You're getting out of hand. The tension is too much. Go buy some if you have to....

Agreed. Thistemcannotcoastcin from here. The margin of error is small. Any more bad losses and it will be very hard.

I've decided just to enjoy the season as it unfolds rather than worry about the tourney down the line.

It's a good approach, because the other is hoping that a "ratings draw and committee ignoring early lossess" can put us in the tournament.
