We've seemingly hit well against the SEC's top-tier pitchers (I know, it's odd but it's still the case). So who's to say we wouldn't have gotten to Puk/Shore had we faced them more?

UF has such a deep staff that Sully doesn't hesitate to replace his pitchers. Point being, all it takes is a few hits and they're gone. It would then be rare that a team is going to score 5+ runs off any single pitcher on their staff.

Also, for the series we struck-out 13X in 25 innings (0.52K/inning). Gator pitching was averaging 1.14K/inning for the season.

They were squaring the ball up against Shore. Things were about to get very rough for him if the game didn't rain out.
