He would have had to wait until January and then get into a bidding war. And that's assuming the Eagles didn't do something Eaglelicious like actually keep him as some sort of sick joke.

i pulled for LSU 100%. I didn't think this game mattered for Les fate though.. I would have pulled for LSU regardless because again, I think it's silly for this to be a make or break game..

Can you imagine the shite show this would be if we had to wait until the end of the NFL season to hire a coach. Recruiting would turn to shite. Alleva knew that wasn't an option. That's why it was Jimbo or bust.
