From what I remember from an explanation here, Les had a rule against visors.
With the popularity amongst college kids these days, of visors, do we start seeing them now?

I know it's not as important as what's going on right now, but I thought a fresh thread would be okay with everyone.

ETA I'm reminded players didn't wear them under Saban either. And that it may be some sort of tradition within LSU.

Ive always wondered. Doesnt a visor on a receiver give away the ball to the defender?

I'm not sure. Just curious because the kids seem to love wearing them. I know they do serve a purpose. Not sure how many wearing for those reasons though.

Interesting question. Can't believe I never noticed how we don't wear visors.

I remember Chevis Jackson wore one but it was because he got inadvertently poked in the eye.

Isn't there some rule in college football that says if visors are worn, they have to be clear? I kinda like the tinted visors, they just look cool.

Yea Chevis wore one because of an eye injury.
The topic has been brought up here before. I want to say Les had a rule against them.

The NCAA rule is clear is okay and tinted needs a medical clearance.

Jamal wore one last year, but it was a dumb rule about unless you actually needed it for some sort of eye protection, you couldnt wear one. Retarded as hell, every team in the nayion lets its kids wear them. Moat of our players go to the NFL and wear them, so apperaently they want to wear them.

Thought it was bc of concussion protocols so that medical staff can inspect the pupils without have to remove the helmet?

That would make sense, but you see them all over college football.

I agree with that other poster, Fournette would look badass with a visor.

I agree. I know I'd rather see us score points and win rather than see visors on our guys, but they do look bad arse.

No because they have to be clear visors, and if at all the can remove the facemask without removing the helmet, so that reason is null and void.
