He needed more time to finish his phone call with Sumlin.

So he goes to A&M who runs a HUNH?

If his defense wasn't hot garbage that season, we win the NC..

when you score 41 points on the road, you should expect the defense to be able to hold onto a lead

Not really.

So you honestly think it might have been Cam or Miles going on the radio calling out Chavis?

By that logic, shouldn't UGA's offense have been getting tired as well? Chavis probably wanted his defense off the field as much as possible because he was well aware that his DBs were completely lost the entire game. I don't remember a LSU game that had more occasions where DBs where throwing their hands up in a "WTF" gesture after big plays from the opponents.

It was sad that when LSU went up 41-37 you just hoped that UGA would score ASAP so LSU could get the ball back with as much time as possible.

OBJ was a great player at LSU, but you are right about this. We had just made a great stop, and Mett would have likely taken us down and scored again to put us up two scores, and the game would have been very different if OBJ just saw the ball all the way in, ensured the catch, and didn't try to do too much. Coaches always say that a big game will usually hinge on one or two plays, and you never know when they will happen. That was the play that changed that game.

That's why it was such a disappointing loss.

Hotdogging it, showing off, fielding punts he had no business fielding...playing with fire.

Well, that, and Welter gave up a long run that let Georgia get the lead, and Jarvis got raped on the last drive on 3 of the last 4 plays. No call.

Come on Welter!

The blatant holding of the receivers starts after Beckham killed them (yet again) on the crossing route

Yep. Was discussed a while back. Supposedly, after the Georgia game, Chavis and Les had it out about clock management. Unfortunately, Mr. 3rd Down won the conversation and Les started running the ball a little more.

meh, he's an elite play maker. you let those guys play. if you want a guy who's going to call a fair catch every time, you put someone like Rueben Randle to return punts

Pretty normal.

When you can't stop the other team you try to keep them off the field.

Nothing to see here

I was in the Georgia section and that stop had sucked the air out of their fans. The fumble was a killer.

I'm as mad as anyone that Chavis left. I do think it's funny that the cool thing to do now is bash him and point out his faults, when 7 months ago he was the best in country

What Im saying is that if it wasn't from them then someone is likely just making shite up.

And the fact remains.. Who said it? How does the credibility of the source have no bearing?
