So are we mathematically eliminated pending 2 loses by Bama or A&M?

Do we know for sure aside from the general premise that we can't match the winning percentage of a 1-loss team?

Our ceiling is .857 while a one loss team is .875. Seems over, but are there any other contingencies?

Taken from the SEC Rant, looks like it's over for LSU:

Conference Championship.

[SEC Bylaw 30.22.1.3] The Conference champion will be determined by a game between the two division champions. The team in each division with the highest percentage of wins during all regular-season Conference competition will be declared division champion. If two or more teams are tied with the highest percentage of wins, they will be declared division co-champions. Division standings will be calculated on a percentage basis, using only those Conference games which are a part of the regular rotating schedule. Details on all tie-breaking procedures are outlined in these Commissioner's Regulations. The site of the championship game shall be set by a vote of the Conference member institutions.

I'm sorry but complaining about something that hasn't happened yet seems silly

it's not that simple. All those teams play each other. IF we win out, they'll all have at least 2 losses except 1 at the most.

Pretty sure we win out and we go to ATL if Auburn loses one more conference game.

I'm not complaining. I"m asking for a clarification or insight into the rules

Only takes 1 to be in 2nd place.

IF we run the table, I think it wouldn't be judged on wins but losses.
IF we run the table, we would be tied with some other team (Bama/A&M) with one loss, and would hold the tie-breaker over them

Are you positive of this?

Pretty sure it's by winning percentage.

The team getting mathematically eliminated by 2 corrupt institutions isn't worth being upset about? I bet our guys are PISSED.

This is the big takeaway. We are eliminated if the SEC West winner is determined by win percentage unless the winner of Bama/A&M has another loss besides LSU

It's based on % of wins vrs losses. LSU beats Bama and both win out, A one loss Bama has a better winning % than a one loss LSU.
This is why you need to play this game if at all possible.

If we run the tables we could sneak into the playoffs. Forget about the SEC Championship at that point.

Well I'm pretty sure the SEC champ would get 1/4 spots so it would not be easy

Correct. But you are positive that is situation and therefore we are eliminated?

One would think there are special circumstances for this type of cancellation.

This cancellation also is potentially detrimental to Tennessee. UT's first win against the Gator's in 11 years might not matter after the next two weeks.

Yes. This is big deal for the SEC teams, not just LSU and UF. That's why I blame them for not moving the game days ago and apparently allowing UF to drag their feet.
