It's a waste of time reading anything he writes. He is one of he most biased people in the media when it comes to LSU. This is the same guy that was on the radio the day after Jennings got arrested that attributed the arrest to "relationships young black males have with the police" as opposed to just calling it a bad decision.

His time has come and gone. I've never liked him as a coach and never will. He never beat Mack Brown while at Oklahoma State (0-4) and he also lost the SEC championship in his first season. That's his legacy to me

He also has the following going for him:

quote:

Win 34 more games, you are the school leader in wins. Win one more SEC title, and you have the most SEC titles in school history. Win one more national title and you are the only coach in school history to win two national titles.

And he is sitting on one of the strongest teams LSU has had from a talent perspective. He could accomplish all of that before this year's freshman leave for the NFL.

Look at the young players we have right now
Haters gonna hate, I'll have my arse in my season ticket come kickoff game 1

while I agree with the first 2 sentences, I'll go to every game and pay less than you do bc of all the TAF fees you're paying

season tix are NOT the way to go

The only reason people seem to hate Miles is he simply isnt as good as Saban or Meyer.

Which is a bad reason to hate someone for simply not being Top 2 out of like 125. Miles is easily a Top 10 coach.

Another person mentioned it and is a great point.

It is harder than ever to win a national championship with the playoffs. I don't think Les is enough coach to get through those extra games.

But I hope he does

If it were as simple as having the best players, we'd have a shite ton more national titles. He hasn't proven he can recruit a class of players, coach them up, and motivate them to win a national championship.

I would be surprised if he won another NC. He's a goofball who's many coaching blunders have kept this program from reaching the heights it should outside of being "NFLU" which means jackshit on the college level.

So, besides Saban, who HAS done this consistently?

Bowden....nope
Brown....nope
Kelley.....nope
Stoops....nope

Some people will never like him but he'll go down as the greatest ever at LSU.

Just sad most can't enjoy this run

The Georgia game for the SEC in 2011 was the one that first started me doubting Miles.

We beat one of the beat defenses in the nation that year like a fricking drum to run our record to 13-0, but you started doubting Les because the team had a slow start against the number 5 defense in the nation?

How did you feel in Mississippi State game at half when we couldn't score a TD against the eight best defense in the SEC? Why not start doubting when you are struggling against one on the poorer defenses in the SEC?

I don't see it, the 2011 Georgia game listed above is a great example.

2015 is much different than 2011. The SEC, especially the West, is loaded with talent and better coaching, that development has exposed Miles to a degree.

I dont think he will win another NC while he is here. He's always gonna have that one or two games where he snatches defeat from the jaws of victory....leaving tiger fans to scratch their heads again wondering WTF.
The man has won some big games and kept us relevant on the national scene but 1/9 still looms large with many fans and will until some coach wins another NC.

I agree with Pirate king on this statement:

You think we were bad before saban, well they might as well not even fielded a team before Miles.

LSU and Alabama made Saban too, he was nobody at previous schools, so what?

I like Saban as a HBC. What you say is true. LSU made Saban and Bama spotlighted him.

The ONLY reason we won that game was the Honey Badger, the defense and Brad Wing.

And not Hilliard?

You DO realize UGA had won 10 straight...we're playing in Georgia....and they had a Top 5 D, don't you?

I think on the whole that the game has passed Miles by. Take a look at the Miss St, Auburn and Arkansas games last season. Those three teams have young coaches with new and evolving styles and what happened? We were blown out in all three. Also, add in the fact that Miles neglects the QB position.

Thanks for the memories, Les, but I think it's time to move on.

And this, ladies and gents, has always been my point. For some LSU fans, there has never been anything the guy can do to win them over... To suggest all he'd have need to do was such and such is and always has been horseshite to a large portion of our fanbase. In the end, the guy wasn't Saban and therefore not the right guy. Knowing that is really an issue, because when there are legitimate gripes about the program and the man running it, it's far too easy to ignore them as part of the maniacal tirades of jackasses like this who disliked the guy before he stepped foot on the filed in purple and gold. It's why having a legit conversation about the state of the program is almost impossible...because the well has been poisoned by some since January of 2005.

might just be one of the best post of the year.

Also, what HC in college football today has more wins over NS/UM than Miles?? What HC today has more wins since 05 than Miles? What HC today has a better OOC winning % since 05 than Miles?

Not being happy with Miles cause he is not NS/UM is like not being happy with winning a 20 mil lottery cause you wanted to win a 25 mil. lottery.

I believe this with all my heart, had LSU either won or lost a close one to Alabama in the 2011 National Championship game, many would feel differently about Les Miles' legacy.
