SIAP:

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge. Life-long TIGER FAN. Will always be. I now live in Kentucky. I am considering getting SlingTV (I ditched cable). How will I know if I will be able to watch the LSU games? For example the SECN is showing more than 1 game on at a time (based on location I assume?).

For those of you who have SlingTV, will this be a problem or can I select which game I want to watch?

Thanks in advance!

Cuse fan here...I only see one channel for Sling TV. You might not know the answer until the first weekend. BTW, the picture quality is very good. A rare occurrence the screen freezes and you have to reload. Sling TV allows you to do Watch ESPN which is key.

I have sling tv. I have not encountered that scenario. If I'm not mistaken, Sling TV sub will allow you access to Watch ESPN which has the SECN Alternate.

I use a Sling/Mohu combo:

Mohu Leaf HD Antanae gets me - ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, and about 12 others.

Sling TV through Roku Gets Me - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, About 15 more (A&E, Food, Travel, History, etc..)

Total Investment - $120 (Roku $49 half off and Leaf 70)
Total Monthly Bill - $20 flat. Took me about 2 hours to get everything up and running including the trip to Best Buy for the Leaf.

Living out of La I get all LSU games. I miss a few Saints games but I can watch on computer.

I have the Mohu as well. But in KY I'm not sure what games I'll catch.

CBS broadcast the big games, its a national feed so you will get the same games the rest of us get.

If LSU is on CBS you will watch it there, if not ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU generally pick the game up so switch to Sling and enjoy.

My concern is this week's game. It's on SECN and it looks like there are multiple games on SEC during the LSU game. Hopefully WatchESPN will have it up.

How do you get $20 with the sports pack? That's $5 more for me.

They will if it's on the SECN alternate. CST games (if there are any?) won't be though, but Watch ESPN may have it on replay the next day.

I have slingtv and pretty much any big time event ends up crashing several times and lags/skips. If an event is on any ESPN network, I use my chromecast and stream it from my iphone and it works much better. I watched pretty much every LSU baseball game like this. I don't think SlingTV app is going to show you the SEC Network Alternate channels, but the WatchESPN app should as long as you get the sports package on Sling.
