Got some tickets off ebay for face value for the Auburn game. 30-40 yard line, lower bowl 4th row. Face value so I couldn't pass them up. How many of yall have sat in the other team sections at away games? These tickets are pretty good, so I'd imagine Joe Sixpack and his belligerent buddies won't be infesting the area completely. I don't plan on being a jackass... yet. Should I prepare my anus or be worry free?

sat in about same area at morgantown, wva.
got hit in head by plastic beer bottle right away.
then, some drunks wanted to give us shite, but the wva fans around us calmed everything down.

next time, i'll pay the premium to sit w/ lsu fans. i envied the lsu section having fun.

When someone asks how you got such wonderful tickets, just tell them some really disgruntled Auburn fan just gave them to you outside the stadium for free. shite like that pisses fans off.

This is Auburn we're talking about. "Joe Sixpack and his belligerent buddies" describes EVERY Auburn fan.

...and they all work at wal-mart.

I had similar tickets for the GA game in '04. They were complete asses and all was doing was clapping for my team. I won't pay good money to sit near people like that. Buckle up - it'll be a fun ride!

Just wear a ULM undershirt and take it off If you need to shut them up.

I sat alone in a sea of Ole Piss (fans) when I was 14 back in 2003, so I'm sure you'll survive.

ETA: I was clapping after we had just made a 1st down and this 45 year old plastic looking bitch sitting in front of me told me to stop clapping so loud. I just looked at her like "are you fricking serious?" Then I continued to clap as loud and as often as I could right behind her head.

Went to the AU vs. LSU game at JH (Cam basically guaranteed himself a Heisman): My AU buddy has season tix, and there was an LSU family in a sea of Orange right next to us. They were polite, and everybody else was polite back to them. The LSU family of 4 was a couple in their late 20's/early 30's with two cute little girls, 8-10 years old. If anyone had talked shite to them, they'd have gotten a beat down. If you are going solo, be careful. Most AU fans I've met are extremely hospitable (this from a USC fan), but there are assholes everywhere in a big enough sample. JH is pretty big.

I took my wife when we played cam newton. We sat just outside of the lsu section but we had several lsu fans scattered around us. The auburn fans were very friendly, but then there was this couple in their 40s who were obnoxious. They were pestering these lsu fans in front of them down the row from us. They did not seem like locals or alumni...they seemed to be transplants who scored tickets and were on the cam bandwagon. They embarrassed the auburn fans around them and the lsu fan almost laid him out. Even the wife was a bitch. I regrets not getting the usher when he started cheering when lsu student athletes would get hurt on plays. At the end of the game they took it to a level so bad with those fans that my wife, who is not a fan of football, walked over and got in their face telling them that this is college sports involving higher institutions of learning and you are an embarrassment to auburn. They shut up.

I regret not getting the cop. If this happens to you I suggest you immediately summon the usher. Most college ans are alumni and good people and will jump on the a-hole.

I'll probably be on the auburn side due to their tickets being cheaper. I've heard they aren't bad fans.

give them hell and smoke cigars. They are more worried about getting Chiz nuts fired. They will just use this game to justify it. sitting in the TAF section.

I sat on the 40 YL about 30 rows up in 2006, 2008, and 2010 in a sea of orange and it was fine. Was with a friend of mine and we are some pretty big fellas....barely a peep but a few hecklers that I ignored then that pissed them off even more

that is my section...I will have piss balloons in hand.

ETA: I rarely see problems for visitors at Auburn games. The opposing fan is usually the instigator though.

I'd be disappointed if I didn't get a few hecklers. I expect that at almost any place I'm wearing opposing team gear.

It's called being a good sport and not taking it personal, as long as everybody is acting in a respectful manner.
