Has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I said. Call me a hippie because I don't believe in massacring people? Ok you big 'Merican bad arse. You can go ahead and lump Jesus Christ into the "hippie" column. So be it, I'm in good company.

How in the friggen world did we not win every game with him, Shaq, and Stanley in the lineup??

Name the point guard on that team?

How over weight was Roberts that season?

Was Roberts benched for being over weight?

Was Shaq nearly as good in 1990 as he was in 1991 and 1992?

Did Shaq spend almost every game in foul trouble?

Did Jackson have medication problems throughout the season causing weight and conditioning problems?

Did LSU lose to a team in the tourney that also had 3 future NBA players?

If you answer all these questions correctly, then you will know why they did not win every game.

If Brown sucked as an xand o guy as much as you say,, then explain his 1986 and 1987 tourny runs?

Good luck on your assignment!

This would explain the round 2 loss in the tournament. Kenny Anderson, Brian Oliver, and (I can't remember the 3rd guy but I think he was the guy that blew the late free throws in Game 1 of Magic/Rockets final) made the Final Four and they were very talented. Of course, the question remains how were we a 4 (or 5?) seed?

I guess you answered it above.

I would have liked to see the 1990 team with senior point guard Fess Irvin.

CJ is my favorite LSU athlete ever (and basketball is my 3rd favorite sport), and the day he declared hurt my heart more than any other day as an LSU fan, even the dreaded 1//9. Don't care what he did off the court (I do, but it doesn't affect the fondness of my memories), nothing has ever brought me more joy as an LSU fan, save national championships, as watching that dude fill up the rim.

I was a point guard in high school. Guess who was the starting point guard? Fess Irvin. Guess who never saw any game time? Python.

Stinkin' Fess Irvin. A curse on anyone who mentions his name.

You should have walked on at LSU. Were you better than Dennis Tracey?

btw, was it tj pugh? (the pg on that team that LSU92 quizzed us on) or was that a lil after?

i know CJ played a little pg during his time here.

i played against pugh a few times at the rec after he graduated/left. well on a separate team, i never guarded him i'm a low post guy.

I don't know. I wasn't very good though. I ended up quitting, playing in a church league, scoring 30 points a game.

We played Christian Life when they first became a school, and a few others like that. Good times.

Not sure how anyone who watched that team play could think Shaq was more valuable or a better college player than CJ. I don't care what he did after leaving, what he did at LSU was mind boggling.

It was Randy Duvall. Pugh was the PG for Shaq's other seasons.

Greatest player I ever witnessed at the college level. Even with his lack of size, I thought he would do so much more in the NBA...thought he would score like Alan Iverson. I was a freshman at LSU when he was, remember his first game and those early games when he was pumping 30 to 40 then 50 points. Florida student section game him a standing O. Never missed a game over those two years when he played. Never would have guessed when Shaq and crew arrived in '89 that LSU WOULDN'T have won a NC before my time there ended. Love me some C.J., best cross over move f'n ever....
