Replacing Cam is probably a lock. Replacing Steele after only 1 year is not a lock IMO.

and idk how we all know that deep down Miles is back. A loss to OM and a win vs TAMU and I still think he's gone.

Steele deserves more time. Cameron, not.

ummm...no

if he lost both and the bowl game it would still be 50/50

The front seven on defense does not have that much talent. Not KS's fault. When Cameron had Mett, J Hill, OBJ and Landry offense was not a problem. Other than LF, the other guys are not as good as previous years. This is a talent issue on both sides of the football.

I seriously doubt any changes will be made. Les doesn't see a problem.

I think that's the only way he keeps his job, regardless of two wins, 1 win and 1 loss, or two losses to end the season. Although, two losses to end the season and I think Miles is gone.

Ignorant post. Look, I agree Les is stubborn as frick. But go read up on his comments on the game. Also watch the presser after Arkansas. He clearly knows where he stands.

Can we afford to fire Miles at this point, monetarily ?

Completely and utterly disagree. He loses out and he's gone. He loses to OM and its 50/50.

Someone posted on here a day or 2 ago that boosters have already said they could foot the bill. Not sure how much truth there is to that. So idk really. But I think if LSU loses out this recruiting class is going to suffer because the perception will be that LSU will clean house. I know I wouldn't want to go to a school where 2016 was make or break for the entire staff.

well you just said if he loses to OM he's gone

we'll have to agree to disagree. i don't think they're going to risk this recruiting class and the talent we have coming back next by cleaning house. he'll have one more year.

I don't see why he would. We have had a string of different OCs and DCs and the team looks exactly the same. Miles is the one constant over the years. He is the reason for all of our struggles.

Maybe we can trade for Arkansas recruiting classes?

Well I personally lean on the gone side of that 50% I was conceding to your scenario, slightly. Lose to OM, beat aggy, lose bowl game= he gone. Lose to OM and aggy= he gone. Lose all 3 and he probably steps down before his phone rings.

Recruiting is tricky. I think if the perception is that 2016 is make or break, it could have a negative effect. Sort of like ripping the band aid off. How the hell would Steele and Cam answer a question from a mom who asks what happens if LSU goes 9-3 in 2016? JMO

Well boosters do what I'd consider as dumb shite all the time. Like paying Saban's house off. I understand that's significantly less than Miles' buyout. I won't pretend that's the case here. I have no idea how all that works behind closed doors.

Look at it this way, would you invest $20 million to make $100 million?

Hire a coaching staff that actually competes for championships. Miles did at one point but the only time we're in the hunt is before the Alabama game.
No one really wants to go to a bad bowl game against some nobody. Who really wants to buy hats, t-shirts, etc to a very mediocre football team. LSU seems to recruit well but it doesn't seem to translate into winning championships. We really haven't been close since 2011 and we are losing more games in the SEC. The buck stops with Les, that's why he makes the salary he makes.

We can cut bait or become Texas, Miles has been a good coach at LSU but sometimes it's just over.
