I'm sure you would be first in line for this wouldn't you.

Seriously you don't see the hypocrisy in your statement?

I say positive things all the time about LSU, when they're warranted. I don't stick my head in the sand and pretend that everything is copacetic when things are going sideways though.

ETA: Also, no one is attacking you for posting positive things about LSU. We are attacking you because ALL YOU DO is attack people who post negative things.

There's a pretty big difference.

Well, when you're constantly pointing out when others are doing it and refuse to acknowledge it in yourself...there's a word for that. What is it? Oh yeah. Hypocrite.

You're free to say what you want, obviously, but I don't believe you do it on purpose. I think you honestly believe that your constant bashing of other posters is the right thing to do and makes you the bigger man. Just saying, " I can do what I want," doesn't give you any more credibility.

Why do you post here? Honest question.

You are telling me.

I'm here specifically to discuss issues, not to move on from them.

Why? What has your previous multiple daily discussions of these "issues" solved?

quote:

I'm just wondering why you can put your big boy pants on and move on so easily from so many important issues, but continue to obsess over what other people posting on a message board think and say.

You must think what I post is important or you would have dropped out of the discussion long ago. As far as these "important issues" are concerned" precisely how likely are the messages here likely to solve them. Orgeron is the guy with the job and no amount of message board discussion will give the job to your choice.
Seriously it won't.

Playing and starting freshmen is not unheard of in today's college football. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Georgia played 17 freshmen week one. Kids are expected to come in and contribute right away in major college football so the freshmen excuse is poor.

The same thing that changes when you constantly whine about what other people are posting.

You are telling me.

I told you to take your own advice if you don't like the topic. There's a difference.

Why? What has your previous multiple daily discussions of these "issues" solved?

What, exactly, do you think the point of discussion forums are? They aren't called "solution forums" for a reason.

quote:

You must think what I post is important or you would have dropped out of the discussion long ago

Ah. So you think what we are saying is important. That's why you keep responding.

Awesome.

No one here is under the delusion that their opinion is worth a damn to any coach or administrator at LSU. We just like to discuss the good and the bad because that's what the entire purpose of this site is. Again I ask, why do you post?

Interesting that you call me a hypocrite when you don't apply the standard to yourself. You feel free to criticize but want me to not criticize. See the man in the mirror?

So I am somehow controlled by some outside power source driven to this place for????????

Sort of like when some of you bash the coaches makes you think it is the right thing to do and that you are a better coach?

Just saying, " I can do what I want," doesn't give you any more credibility.

And how does this statement not apply just as strongly to you?

Because I want to. Why do you?

You are welcome for this brief lesson on what hypocrisy is.

So you're cheering for the team (and O) to fail because you didn't like the hire. Wow, just when I thought our fans couldn't stoop to a lower level.

What the frick? This fanbase stooped to that lower level years ago. The exact same thing took place for years while Miles was the coach. Were you living under a rock while that was taking place or was it acceptable to you because you weren't a fan of his?

I am discussing now. It is just that you don't agree with the direction of the discussion.
I was discussing some of the motivations of the strident and ongoing posts of the majority of the anti-Orgeron crowd. Or at least that was how it started.
Then I hit few nerves and the attacks started.

I post here because I can. Why do you?

That is precisely what is happening with the majority of the anti-Orgeron crowd. They are throwing a juvenile temper tantrum. "I didn't get my way, my guy wasn't hired so screw Orgeron, screw LSU. I'm gonna bitch and piss and moan until I get my way."

The rant is a perfect place for that.

You started attacking other posters ITT with your very first post in it.

Again, this is why you catch so much shite. Because it's, literally, all that you do.

I'm not pretending to be a self righteous know-it-all who knows better than anyone here. That's the difference between you and me.

quote:

I don't assume to know any more than the coaches do. I just have an opinion. The whole "oh, so you think you know more than the coach?" argument is oversensitive pointless.

quote:

And how does this statement not apply just as strongly to you?

Because I'm actually discussing the team, and I realize my opinions are humble and ultimately don't matter. They're just my thoughts-take them or leave them.

quote:

Because I want to

Fair enough, but I still have to ask why.

quote:

Why do you?

Because I like discussing LSU sports with other fans, sharing my opinion and hearing others.

You are welcome for this brief lesson on what hypocrisy is.

You'll never learn.

I catch so much shite because I don't follow the prevailing winds. My preferred candidate didn't get the job. Tough shite for him. Yet I have openly and often supported the man that did. I don't see what is the purpose of sitting around all butt hurt.

Now I ask: what else do you do but attack the coaches, team, administration. How is it that you (plural) feel that it is perfectly acceptable to post day after day after day criticizing.

How often are your (personal) posts positive, supportive and uplifting?

The mirror sir, look in it.

That's from today praising the players after seeing Paris was injured. Should I keep looking?

How about praise the LSU football program? Again, never seen you do it. Amazing you don't see the difference.

To echo RB10, here's a thread I started earlier this week: LINK

We do this. You do not.

Alleva had over a year to consider all of those coaches and never lifted a finger to interview them or talk to their agents. The hire was based on the cheap led by FKing, Alleva and Ballard from the BOS.
