The level of play in the regular season NBA is dramatically different than the playoffs. During the regular season, it's a lot of incredibly talented guys going at half speed. There's spurts of effort but for the most part, guys are just grinding out the season.

The playoffs are something else entirely. Players get after it and every possession is life or death.

Simmons has been playing with NBA Regular Season effort. The question is.....if LSU makes the tourney (and that's a big "if" at this point), does Simmons flip the switch to playoff mode.

Nope, because he doesn't want to possibly injure himself.

If I were Simmons, at this point I would just try to avoid injury and get out of LSU

This is ridiculous... quit making excuses for him already. What we have seen is what he is. He is not so privileged that he can pull out his NBA mid season card as a Freshman college player. He should get better as the season progresses and the team continues to gel. Enjoy the ride.
