constant. Such fricking bullshite.

@PBPjasonlieser: Missouri coach Gary Pinkel says he's been told the Tigers' permanent rival will be Arkansas. Ark. has been w/ South Carolina.

ETA: relevant to the rant because of the double standard involved with LSU/UF and the scheduling structure as it relates to LSU.

Just noting the bullshite of having the constant changed for some teams, but the impossibility to have a 6-2 model for the sanctity of rivalries nobody cares about in our conference.

Doesn't make it any less inequitable to our goal to win the conference when Alabama wants to keep a rivalry and Ole Miss likes playing that tough Vandy team.

Arkansas will be paired with Missouri (the eastern division team) and South Carolina likely to be a constant with aTm. LSU and UF unchanged.

I believe the OP is trying to state that South Carolina and Arkansas will no longer be permanent inter-divisional football opponents.

Do you have a link or somesuch that provides further information?

this is ridiculous. it would be hard for me to believe that most of the fan bases on both sides (UF and LSU) wish to continue playing each other during the regular season. I for one wish to end it and most gators i've talked to want the same.

Who do you want our common opponent to be?

Who cares? I like playing Florida every year, and would HATE to replace that series with Vandy or UK. This is a non issue, regardless of whether it is "fair" or not.

We wouldn't be replacing them with anyone. We would simply rotate more teams from the East. We would just play other eastern division teams more often. So we would get UGA more for instance.

Mike Slive is a class act and the best conference commish hands down.

Quit being a baby and enjoy what you have.

I like playing UF as well. It sucked back in the 90's, but there is generally an Ebb and Flow with the strength of a program. If UT can climb back to relevance then is at LSU at a real disadvantage compared to Bama by playing UF every year?

And he caters to a couple of teams that want second and third tier rivalries. If you told an average fan outside of the SEC that Auburn and UGA is considered a rivalry so we have to change the scheduling structure of the entire league to placate this "rivalry," they would look at you like you just told them a joke.
