How is the team managing?

2005 was a championship caliber team and though Les did a great job rallying the team and state the schedule and fatigue caught up to us.

Are we going to be ok this time?

Most of these guys are not from BR or Laffy, so they shouldn't have personal tragedies on their minds. That's a little different from Katrina, when so many kids had families living with them, etc. There are exceptions, of course.

The coaches are pros, and paid to keep themselves and the team focused, regardless of outside factors.

As far as gameday management, I wouldn't think there'd be many issues by that time.

I think the thing that caught up with the 2005 team is that there was no Bye...since the first game was rescheduled. Also traveling for our first "home" game, then the Monday night Tennessee collapse...as Rita was ravaging the rest of Louisiana/East Texas

This shouldn't have any impact on the season like Katrina did.

This is a completely different situation than Katrina. Things have pretty much been business as usual for the players, they just got a couple practices moved indoors. The Pmac isn't being used as a hospital, players don't have their families scattered across the country and unable to get in touch with them, and there's only a few that have possibly lost everything(not downplaying, just don't know) compared to Katrina where all the players from LC to Mobile lost everything.

The only similarity I see in this situation and Katrina is this team is about to put the state of Louisiana on its back and carry it to a championship.
