After an impressive if inconsistent freshman season—six games with 52 yards or less rushing and five games of more than 100—Leonard Fournette will be one of the nation’s most exciting players. The 6' 1", 230-pounder will be the focal point of coach Les Miles’s offense, especially because the Tigers have yet to determine who will be under center. It helps that LSU has a veteran offensive line and one of the nation’s best young receiving units in 6' 3" sophomore Malachi Dupre, 6' 2" junior Travin Dural and speedy 6-foot sophomore slot receiver John Diarse.

That's a weak list. I have Ole Miss finishing last in the West at the moment.

Who cares what SI thinks, they are irrelevant. The coaches poll matters more IMO.

Without opening the link. Are they questioning QB play, new DC hire, schedule & lack of experience on the front 7?

Outside of ND being in the top five. I'm okay with this.

The Ole Miss pick is way too high. LSU should be in the 16-19 range. Arkansas & Missouri are in a good spot. Tennessee should be in Miss St spot.

No polls matter. They're just people voting. Irrelevant.

Records determine SEC division winners and the champion is determined on the field in Atlanta. As it should be. No polls involved.

The playoff teams are determined by committee. Yes, technically they are like a poll, but much more meticulous and serious in selecting and seeding the 4 teams.

Ignore all polls. They're leftovers from a bygone era.

All preseason polls are irrelevant and no need to fret over this opinion.

Nevermind, this is the rant where jimmies are constantly rustled over "negative" LSU comments/opinions.

I have a box of tissue for the Rant though.

USC destroyed Notre Dame last year. Neither are top 8 teams in the nation thus year though.

Considering its shitty season last year, and the existence of the same questions (namely, at QB), LSU is appropriately ranked,

preason top 10? Hmm probably not. But I think both will have good (possibly great) seasons.
