Should we consider Delvin Breaux a DBU alumn?

Never made the field, but he was a Tiger.

The advantage of claiming him for DBU is this:

1) Saints now have a Tiger on their team - someone to keep us interested in and watch in a down year.

2) One of the greatest comeback stories in NFL history.

3) He student coached - that is part of the team and would be insulting to all student coaches to leave him off.

4) Shows LSU honored their commitment to him even though he was injured before ever stepping foot onto campus.

5) It is not a stretch - NFL.Com has his college as LSU!

Yep. I look at him that way every time I see him play for the Saints. Love that dude. His heart was at LSU for sure and thats what matters.

we shouldn't

he never played for LSU and wasn't drafted as an LSU player

if he wants to claim hes a part of it then cool but I don't think we should claim him when he never played for us

But he attended LSU..

did he work out at LSU?

if so.. then I would.. if he practiced at all with the team, in any capacity.. lol?

With a name like that, how could he not be considered a tiger.

What I would like to know is did he just attend class, or did he live and workout with the team, attend meetings, etc.

Can anyone who was there at the time answer this?

Broke his neck--school would not let him play due to liability issues. Student coached and went to school--but ended up leaving for arena football I believe. Guy has always be a strong supporter of LSU and only left because he was not able to play football there and moved on to pursue his dreams were he could.

Not saying he should be consistently recognized by the school--but LSU should not disown him. He has always supported the school and the school should support him.

after he recovered he was off playing arena and candian league football. now he's in the nfl. what's the point? maybe if he can't get a fat contract he goes back to school.
